one more question... the readings vary alot when i poured the "filtered" water into the pail, and into a jerrycan... i've got 2 jerrycans at home, and initially i wanted to store DI water in it first so that in an event when i need to top up my tank, i dont have to make my way to the toilet and fill it all over again.. but when i took the readings of the water from the jerrycan, the readings came out to be much higher than that of tapwater... anyone experience this???

hey guys.. like to bring up this topic again to ask a question... just bought a single canister Crystal Pro filter few days ago.. realised that the water flow rate shouldnt be too fast to keep the TDS reading as low as possible.. wont it take very long for it to fill one pail of water then??? esp if the tube is specially designed to have a small output... would like to hear comments from other reefers who are using this.. do u guys keep the water flow rate slow? or just blast it.. doesnt matter as long TDS reading is below 50ppm..

is a sand dollar big???? it looks big.. i'm having only a 2feet tank... with quite a number of mushrooms on my sandbed.. haha..

where can i get Nassarius snails??? i only see turbo snails everywhere... does CF or any LFS have any stock?? CF seem to have every kinds of LS with them... haha....

does any of your cleaner shrimps step all over ur corals??? espcially during feeding time, my pair of cleaner shrimps will go crazy and step over everything to get to their food... they would step on all my zoas and my zoas will all close.. interestingly its only zoas and they seldom disturb my mushrooms, bubble or any other corals for that matter... kinda irritating when i see them doing it actually... and it ALWAYS happen.. haha... sometimes even when i'm not feeding... just wanna know if thats normal for yours as well???

looking for the above to store my salt as i bought my salt in packets... if anyone have a spare do let me know... thanks alot...

do you have to dose additional supplements when u use this salt? is it lacking in anything?

aquamarin having some sale on this salt... since i was running low on salt, i bought (3.4kgx6) packets for $100 today... they are also having 6.8kgx3 for the same price... have yet to use it, but heard lots of good reviews about it... hope to hear some comments on this brand of salt as well....

yea... damn smelly... i just realised what media i've been using after reading onizuka's topic.. i'm using biohome.. half red, half grey...

but i'm using 2 layers of cotton, no matter how, the other compartments will still get dirty... maybe thats because i dont clean it consistantly...

there are 3 compartments in my filter... after the water flows thru the inlet pipe, it'll first enter the first compartment that only contain wool... i placed 2 different kinds of wool... one is the normal white ones, another is the "black" and "rougher" one... second stage, those porus carbon rings... duno the brand name... third stage, some orange and white filter media.. forgot the name as well =/ there's part ONE and part TWO... denitrate beads all over the place, rowa phos..... i think thats about it.... haha.... it'll be good if someone can help me I/D my media based on my mini-description.. those orange and white ones, according to the uncle in LFS when i first started out, he told me its really good =/

ok i'll take note the feeding of blastos.. how many times per week? and how many times is too much? i feed my sun everyday, so maybe i'll share some with my blastos... about my table, yea... been thinking about it for quite some time already... i've got plans to shift the whole tank out... but it requires time and i need to get a new cabinet for it... hmmm... i guess i'll be doing it sooner or later...
