me got the same prob ..... bought a red slime remover from henry ML .... get rid within 2 days but mine is not that bad yet .... maybe u can try it ...btw the red slime remover cost $28 ....

thanks guys i got the black sun coral from lim chu kang outside farmmart ... the first shop near the gate .... bargain from $22 to $18 ... almost gave up .... but finally gave in cause been finding it for quite long ... yes jc85 my DSB is about 5 inches initial use AZOO denitrator (used 2 bottle) dammed ex ... havenot use it for more than a month now ... think DSB and skimmer doing their job

hi.... tank parameter are : - 4ft tank with built in filter (on th left side) - using weipro 2012 with weipro 3000 - 4 x ATI T5 lights (thank to dr evil) - tom 800 powerhead - no sump - Amonia, nitrites = 0 - nitrate = 5 .... (quite impossible to get 0 w/o sump) - about 30 kg live rock - 2 True clown - 1 purple tip anemome - 2 cleaner shrimp - 2 emerald crab - 1 peppermint shrimp - 1 boxer shrimp - 1 bubble - 1 sun coral - 1 black coral

From knowing nothing about rearing fish ...then found this forum ...in sept 03 .... started cycling tank in mid october 03 ..then live stock got wipe off in late dec 03 (due to itch) ... borrowed a DC yesterday and took some shots .... juz to share ....

Loss my whole live stock due to itch from my purple tang .....i thought it was eating well (with food soaked in garlic) n after juz one week i introduce in my main tank ...BIG MISTAKE !!! the next day it developed itch and spread to my yellow tang, my flame angel (favourite) , 2 clarkii (favourite), 2 false clowns ..... although the itch faded away after 3 days of continuous feeding food with soaked in garlic ....(actually later read from somewhere that the itch will temporary leave the fish body to hatch on rocks or the sandbed n come back stronger !!!)....... fourth day it was all hell broke loose .....things get worse when i tried to catch them ... my tangs so stress out that the itch got worse when they r in the hospitial tank!!! after 2 days one by one started to die off till this morning ....nothing was left ....nw have to leave the tank fishless for 6 weeks to stop the itch from cycling inside the main tank .....so guys please ...please quarantinee all new livestock no matter where u buy them from ...juz sharing my experience...
