i think cause kalk has a natural ph of 12? therefore it will raise ur ph.. but must be careful with it as accidental overdose is quite dangerous.. some people use kalk with CR together as the ph lowering effect of CR will be negated by the high ph of kalk..

hey guys i have a question.. my mag level was 1000 kh was 9.3.. calcium is around 360.. after 2-3 weeks of trying to raise my mag level, my mag now is at 1200 and kh is at 10.6 while calcium 340.. is the increase in kh normal?

i saw my goby wandering near my zoos then it rested on it.. a few moments later i saw it lying motionless on the sand bed.... is zoos sting deadly enuff to kill my goby? or is it due to other problems? i just changed my water today and nitrite and ammonia was zero...

my new corals! Gonio open brain brain blasto can these corals grow bigger under the right conditions? also my hermit crabs keep walking into my corals and its legs is poking them. is tt ok? i already reposition them away a few times already...

ic.. dinn know hermit crabs are serial snail killers. where can i get those empty hermit crab shells? wah if they topple my corals over i will catch them and eat them. french style. lol

yeap added 3 snails and 1 orange linckia around 1.5 inch.. after seeing how they move and eat no wonder i see people put 20 in their tank at a go. going to get some hermit crabs as part of the clean up crew too. the goby is not coming out! i havent seen it since adding it yesterday night.. haha. mayb a pistol shrimp will give it more sense of security.

ya lo actually i bought a yasha goby ytd. so might hafta wait awhile before adding anymore fish.. trying to be patient here haha.. the yasha goby MIA after acclimating and adding to my tank. hope it will pop its head out soon. heard they are really passive fishes. will get a pistol shrimp and hope they pair. ill probably add 3 x chromis ba..

hey guys after reading this poll about seawater vs salt mix im kinda undecided on which to use. i actually purchased a DI unit and two packs of salt for future water change. but looks like NSW is pretty cheap and gd too... not to mention convenient in its own way.. question is can i just collect seawater from the beach or it is better to purchase them from LFS. do the lfs treat them to make it safer?
