  1. Looks like normal di setup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I think there is a tank maker contact lists in the the forum. Google it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I guess the issue of adding too much water into the tank may have a big salinity seing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Alkalinity, ph, Ca are the 3 basic parameters you need to monitor. Unfortunately there isn't any single equipment able to tell you all the values at once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have an reflectometer which I find it very hard to use because I need to peep into the small hole and try to locate the number. Some how the target is usually 1.025 and its 3 decimal places. Is it me only or other also facing this issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Forgot to mention, you can google the option in the web Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Just use any media provided in the canister because the purpose is to increase the bacteria colony. You will ultimately rely on your hang over skimmer to remove majority of the waste Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. May be your skimmer is unable to pull out the waste. Try to get a drier waste in the skimmer so that you can extend the interval between cleaning. One thing that may cause high level of nitrate is overfeeding. That doesn't mean you have left over food. But it just mean your fishes or cleanup crews poo a lot. Try cutting down on feeding n see situation improve or not Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. If you happen to disturb the sand, it should take a while to go back to normal if your cycle is correct because the bac will convert the fresh ammonia into the less harmful nitrate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Patient is what you need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. If all in one product is that good, the probes is going to out of business. Just my 2cent Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Given sufficient time, 1/10 should be able to bring the temp down to 26 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I guess if you set your temperature to 26 and kick on at 27, you may be seeing faster cooling and lesser kick in time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I don't see any issue with your chiller. Probably your ambient is high which cos the water to heat up really fast from 25 to 26. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Di filter is more straight forward. Just not too fast flow rate to let the resin n your water has sufficient contact to increase the efficacy. Given your tap water is 110 tds, I think your resin will deplete pretty soon. Long term wise a rodi is better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. You just need time n patient for the right bac to colonize. As someone mention a good skimmer is a must Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Will regularly spraying WD40 work? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Measure is always recommend but not mandatory otherwise Its not a hobby rather than a job. Imo keep a closed eye on how the live stock behave is more important. But sometime also depends on the species you have. If you invested a very pricey species, you have to be more careful which translate measure and monitor closely at the same time. 19. Simple way to gauge to guess how hot is your uv is look at the watt. imho, if less than 50, should be manageable by the chiller. Unless you have an under rated chiller which is unable to cool down fast enough
  20. As you know HDb bathroom is quite small therefote want to get so ideal from reefers where you store your water
  21. The pH will stable Once the alkalinity is stable
  22. Hang one is will do. If can get tunze.
  23. If possible get a higher hp chiller which is able to drop the temp to sub 27 in shortest time. If you don't plan to invest much can consider a 2nd hand chiller.
