  1. here's the future Chrysiptera oxycephala, sighh
  2. ah right you got me there.. why didn't i think of that, better care would most definitely boost growth. its a pity those in the Neoglyphidodon genus look so good as juveniles, Neoglyphidodon crossi for instance. they always tempted me when i see them
  3. reborn didn't bring them in as many times as iwarna and cf, probably just once or twice cause it was sold of as a normal flasher to me. here's another angulatus x lineopunctatus and a lineopunctatus
  4. i don't think it was a recent shippment, more like left over livestock more prone to hiding. yes i've seen the adult on google and it is quite saddening to know the colours won't last hopefully proper care and feedings would prolong the hold of colours just a little longer but it'd probably be futile. for those interested, there's still one left at iwarna's frag tank but i'm not sure if its for sale.
  5. reborn use to bring them in, thats how i got mine. definately one of the most underrated wrases and also one of my favourites.
  6. if the peppermint got eaten (which i doubt so) by the wrasse then ouch.. expensive dinner. my guess is the shrimp is hiding more due to the new fish thats why you don't see it.
  7. oh my i wish you all the best through this ordeal.. i wouldn't worry so much for the fishes though. hiding just after a move should be quite expected of fishes
  8. small updates, i've tried it and potassium iodide does work for blues in sps. for those who're having trouble with that colour may want to consider giving it a try but with caution. its no miracle blue dye for our corals.patience and careful monitoring is surely a necessity for dosing. all fishes are still around and well! a little bickering between the blackbar chromis and the rest but no damage thankfully. most recently added a pair of Terelabrus sp. its interesting to watch them swim together. when one is spooked and darts another direction, the other turns and follows. hopefully it stays that way. feeding seems easy and bellies aren't sunken so fingers crossed!
  9. yesterday morning i went around 10 plus and i think i saw alot of sunburst in the blue tub? and 1 colini in the sps frag tank
  10. woo upgrade! now we have the same sized tank and white overflow too!
  11. not sure about the blue zoas but i like the other one. doesn't look like the normal eagle eyes or watermelons commonly seen
  12. has the individual packets gone up in price? i've always bought from iwarna at $1 per packet or ahbeng at $1.50
  13. i finally concluded my "fish dying without leaving a body" issue when i caught an at least 1' long eunicid worm in my 2' tank after 2 years of keeping.. perhaps some things just don't appear until its time. you can try using a red filtered flashlight at night instead to view your tank. its like a cloak of invisibility for us or something
  14. the rainbow wrasse is a lubbock's fairy wrasse, and the unknown (rip) one is commonly known as a disappearing (or striated, secretive) wrasse. the aggression came cause both the sixline and the disappearing is from the same genus Pseudocheilinus. just my 0.02 but the yellow goby looks a little skinny. nice pictures!
  15. oo new ati set as what mengyang said ikea has lots of those brackets. prices starts from less than 1 purple note.
  16. the flow rate of the chiller is in gallons, 480 / 1920gph = 1817 / 7267lph. looking at it that way your ehiem 1260 (at 2400lph) is not underpowered.
  17. masago i.e. capelin roe. cfoh's diy food is a great product. i'm still using it for my fishes
  18. i agree over time as the air to water ratio is slowly changing, more air would be needed to push the same amount of liquid as before. but then again like what terry said "this feeder is on day to day basis replacement of the food" so it wouldn't impact feeding that much as opposed to dosing.
  19. i was thinking about the same thing. shifting the air outlet to the top would probably work for a normal dosing but it wouldn't stir the food mixture around for feedings.
  20. id on fishes can be easily obtained via google or any search engines
  21. pump maintenance? yes, i keep it a personal rule to never wash in a rush or when you won't be around the next day to check if anything goes wrong.
