  1. Aquarium Hitchhikers also By Scott W. Hotaling! and this one's cool, Tank Samples By Scott W. Hotaling. Tanks Samples is an application to hold you fish tank test kit samples and other data in one easy to use application. Test sections for Alkalinity, Ammonia, Calcium, Copper, Dissolved Oxygen, GH, Iodine/Iodide, Iron, KH, Nitrate, Nitrite, pH, Phosphate, Salinity, Silicate, Specific Gravity, Strontium, Temperature, and Misc 1 - 5 so you can store other information or test kit data.
  2. found the *ahem* version though can't post it here. but its out there!
  3. also check out Aquarium Handbook Complete By Scott W. Hotaling!
  4. just like to share ReefDoser Reef Calculator for tropical marine aquariums, to help calculate the correct dosages of specific elements needed to maintain recommended levels. Current elements are Calcium, Magnesium, Alkalinity, Potassium, Iodine, Strontium, Boron & Silicate.
  5. i have been using nsw for water changes for awhile now and hasnt gave me any parasitic problems for fishes so far. after your 2 months you will have an ich free display but whether or not it stays that way depends on your practices. qt of new purchases is very important if you don't want to repeat these 2 months in the future. good luck!
  6. my advise is give your display 2 months fishless to be safe. you don't need to do anything, just 2 months of normal keeping but of course without adding in any contaminated water from other sources, like new purchases etc at the same time you can do hypo for your fishes in your qt if you have second thoughts on copper.
  7. but your prata looks 100x better in real life! i still can remember it
  8. octopus in a nano seems pretty possible
  9. at least its not like normal shipments. i think tonight can only take via reservation so shouldn't be that bad
  10. if you only have space for a very small amount of rocks in your sump then my take is don't have them in the first place. why not use the space to hold things like macro algae?
  11. how do rics melt away? like literally? so far a i've kept only ONE ric and its still there ketchup did you find out the cause eventually?
  12. yes it is very possible but your pump must first be able to run out of water. look at the pump specs and description, if it says its suitable in and out of water (like ehiem or aquabees) you're good to go
  13. hmm i can't give you an answer to your problem but i would second peacemakers suggestion of a bubble magus skimmer in your budget. getting a weipro 2014 with an ab2000/1 is not worth it at all.
  14. i think he bought one before? remember he was selling it a few months back
  15. i've read of tanks that have 2-3 vortechs at the centre and after one night the fishes were all gasping for air. surface movement is very important
  16. 60 rics?! i think thats macrovan's tank not ahsiang
  17. iwarna is quite empty, ah beng is closed, pinnacle has a few leftover sps and lps
  18. if you add one more vortech to the other end you can sync both to avoid that swirl you were talking about. anyway nice scaping!
  19. carbon will not control your phosphates, if you're looking for a media with the least phosphate leakage i would assume that you meant after phosphate absorption from your tank, then you should be looking at GFO, not carbon
  20. pending this evening. thank you for all the interest!
  21. i'm selling of 1 out of the 2 in my tank cause they aren't getting along at all. i bought the 2 with an intent to pair them up but plan failed second attempt already the fish went through qt prior to release into the main tank, extremely healthy, and feeding well on frozen. i don't know about pellets though cause i don't use them. size would be either 2.5" or 3" depending on which one i can catch out first. letting go at only $35 on a fcfs basis collection is in tampines. do pm me if interested thanks!
