  1. GO has very very nice elegance this time. purple/blue tips on most colonies
  2. i keep corals and i've never owned a CR
  3. bro maybe you might want to try Potassium permanganate? it has been proven to kill the nudis and also egg masses
  4. didn't see any Chaetodon paucifasciatus Chaetodon mesoleucos i'm not that sure cause there are a few other species which are quite confusing. the Chaetodon larvatus there are very cute. small sized too
  5. yeap its Chaetodon semilarvatus. lots of butterfly fishes in this shipment. Chaetodon larvatus, Chaetodon auriga and quite a few others
  6. lol i wasn't sure not sure too. auntie say caribbean, uncle say red sea.
  7. caribbean fish shippment at irene. many sohals, purple tangs, blue masked butterfly etc
  8. how do you see whether its in a good condition or not? sorry i'm not good with expensive fishes from what i saw it was a healthy one, curious swimming around in the blue tub. picking on the small pieces of rock inside, coming up to the surface to look at you when you look down at it. very cute
  9. red-green means motor overheating.
  10. 1ppm is not hitting the roof for a normal reef with simple corals, i'd say your water is in check!
  11. ah yes i came across that topic before but i didn't take note of the poster and thought its some US thread hope you have success with this 3!
  12. i not sure if the isolation method is 100% with BTAs. my carpets floated off their islands even if they can't move over the sand they can always come loose and let the waves take them. perhaps BTAs may also do this?
  13. 1x Chaenopsis sp. at ah beng. its been there for awhile now, i don't think anyone took notice to it doesn't seem like something easily found.
  14. healthy frag of 3 heads for $8. only 1 frag available! no exposed skeleton, not the ones you see receding till the head viewing and collection at tampines do pm me if interested
  15. there's still 2 large rhomboids at iwarna. quite a number of mystery. limited flames. letf 1 Periclimenes brevicarpalis, 2 Urocaridella sp. and many bumble bees and sexies Urocaridella sp.
  16. yeap shouldn't be that bad to kamikaze into their burrow i think jawfishes are cool fishes. the blue spot jawfish was a tiny tiny reason why i started marine thought up till now i haven't owned one, jawfishes are still one of my favorites out there. anyone spotted any blue stripe pipefishes? i think ML has them but its really farrrrr
  17. i think 5 nassarius snails may be an overkill for a tank of your size, especially if you're stringent on feeding to maintain water quality. personally i would have done with just 1 or 2. leave they rest to your brother's huge tank
  18. lol me too thought i was tempted alittle. i think the head-body proportion is just too great even compared to more eye pleasing jawfishes like yellow head or blue spotted
  19. just to quote from another forum, Opistognathus rufilineatus - orange/red/pastel headed jawfish only available from one collection site and only discovered in 2007. never heard of a single specimen making it to the UK.
  20. first time seeing Opistognathus rufilineatus. does seem sought after in the US but i can't really appreciate it smaller specimens also lack the colouration of adults. Opistognathus randalli is quite commonly seen at ah beng and no one really buys them. the last time i asked it was less than 1 red note
  21. if you find the 1260 a bit too strong then an ab3000 may be too strong for you. channeling a portion of the output into other equipments is a good way of reducing flow into the main tank and also saving the need for additional pumps. for me i run my ab3000 into my fr and chiller. regarding your heat issue perhaps you could run your pumps out of water? this minimize (not eliminate) the heat gained by the water from the pumps.
