  3. Hi Bro, How long has the Elegance been with you? Any tips in keeping it? Thanks!
  4. I only got 1 fish, a larmack angel..but he doesnt nip on corals..some hermit crabs and an assortment of softies and LPS (leather, sunnies, hammer, a huge clam...). My tank is 3 x 2 x 2, so it's very understocked.
  5. Water condition is OK and the rest of the corals, clams etc are doing well...I don't see any nudi..they didnt melt away..they were simply..gone...
  6. Hi Reefers, As above. I bought a fist sized colony of pink zoas on 25 Oct. Since last week, it started to disappear in an alarming rate. It seems like portion of colony simply disappear, without a even any remnants left. This will occur until the whole colony is totally wiped out to date. Any zoas expert out there who can shed some light. I've kept various zoa specimens b4 without any problem. I suspect something is munching it. But what? .....
  7. Hi Reefers, I am looking for a reasonable priced wave-maker for my 3-footer. Most importantly, it must be quiet. I had very bad experience with those cheap Sun Sun ones, which died on me every 3 months and made so much noise... Any feedback would be appreciated
  8. Hi, How do they look like? I found one fat worm like thingy near my zoas, not sure whether is it a nudi
  9. Hi Reefers, As above. My mobile is 97630605.
  10. Hmmm is there a more practical method? rather than lugging bottles from the supermarket...
  11. Hi Reefers, As above, wish to buy some sand shifters...sand dollars, gobys etc.
  12. Hi Just wondering. You use distilled water for topping up. How about water change?
  13. so what is the most economical and practical method to prepare water? I've been using aged tap water with a dechlorinator. Thanks
  14. Thanks Bro :-) I do suspect about the PO4 part too...im currently using Rowa-phos and feeding is definitely low, not sure whether it contains phosphate though. As for water, unfortunately, I am using tap water that has been dechlorinated, that's about it.
  15. Thanks Bro...so the only solution is to siphon and change water frequently? The sandbed turns brown one day after siphoning..sigh..they return with vengeance
  16. Hi Reefers, As above. I've tested the water with Salifert test kits. Both PO4 and NO3 levels are close to zero. However, there are still red slime algae and diatoms on the live rocks and sandbed. Is is possible??
  17. Hi Reefers, As above. Placement, Lighting, feeding, flow etc.
  18. Hi Bro, Can contact me at 97630605? Thanks Dennis
  19. Hi Reefers, I witness a weird scene yesterday night (actually it was 2am) when I switch the room light and peeped into my tank. My very alive twinspot goby a few hours ago, was dead and almost highly disintegrated next to my big (30cm) deresa clam. Upon closer scrunity, I see a worm-like tube coming out of the side of the clam, going directly to the carcass of the fish and seemed to be sucking its juice It was about 15cm long, reddish-brown, and seemed to have some fine "bristles" by both sides. Was it a bristle worm? It retracted lightning fast but came out slowly again to suck on the dead fish...I don't believe it is part of the clam but seemed to be outside on the shell. As it was dark I can really see clearly. Any advice? Will it harm my clam?
  20. Hi Reefers, As above. I've been seeing a few reefers saying that they use "Bailing" method for their tanks. What exactly is that? I've heard about Berlin method of filtration, but "Bailing"??
  21. Hi Bro, Do they touch corals? Im interested in 1. Can you contact me at 97630605?
