well as u guys noe .. titanium tubings are extremely ex... so rubber hoses are the most cost worthy... ant to increase the cooling ... i have decided to freezer the whole rubber tube coil in a container filled with water .. in that case .. no reason why the water cannot cool efficiently... and i'm not using a mini fridge .. if u guys din read carefully... i'll be using a chest frezzer ... one that make ice cubes and freezes food ..

last week i feed them with chocolate chip and blue star.. this week i feed them with greyish kind of star fish.. but i keep my harlequin and star in another container not into the main tank... like those seperater tank like that ..

yah but they are really big.. near to 2 inches... just gave them a star on sunday... finish one leg yesterday... super fast eaters.. have to cut down to 2 stars a week... or maybe this new star i bought not so nice to eat ... as they are eating slower ...

hey bro ... yah i'm not doing anything special to it... but so happens that they got sucked into my refugism... all of them in the refugism now... no fish there so they are safe .. as for the harlequin... ?? i maybe try to do a nusary for them ... really love my harlequins .. and those 2 fellows really eat like pigs... 3 star fishes in a week..

how long..?? let me see .. i fall in love with marine creature 5 yrs ago .. cannot start due to no money... reading up and research during that time... started the hobby 6 mths ago ... found myself stand in front of the tank at least 1 hr a day..(usually 2 to 3 hrs) looking at that ... i guess there is no way i will part with my fishes and corals ..

My harlequin shrimps paired off and was spotted mating a couple of times. i wonder if they breed in capvities..? anyone with experiences? and my anemone shrimps has lay its eggs.. there are some crawly things in the tank wall now... are they the baby shrimps.. ??

the mini bar fridge idea cannot work becos the cooling from the mini bar is too little. i intend to coil my rubber tubings in a container, then fill the container with water and freeze it... in this case the temperture at the rubber tubing coil will alwayse be freezing pt .. when water runs thru more cooling can occur.. the temperture can be control by the flow rate of the water running thru the tubings..

GREETINGS TO ALL DIYERS, hey i have been thinking of a diy chiller for sometime already.. like to share with u guys. actually this idea has been ard for ages.. i'm thinking of making a diy chiller out of old chest freezer. same like before, drill a hole on the wall of the frezzer. then put rubber hose thru it. then coilas many rounds in the freezer. before coming out from the freezer thgru the same hole.

totally agrees!! some shops are just interested to seel and earn quick bucks .. they dun even have proper lightings for the corals, before i started my hobby, i take 5 yrs to considered before i dare to start, and the reason i have the courage to start is becoz of SRC. a place for ppls to share their experience. and to be double sure that my tank is ready, i let the water cycle for 3 mths, tested the water and everything is okay.. then i start buying fishes and corals .. sometimes, we see nice corals die in other's hand.. quite hurtful

hey all, FINALLY, after 3 mths of cycling, managed to get the NO2 to zero and everything setup... and when just about to take off into my hobby ... then market is swipe off by ava .. guess i have to start it real slow..
