result?? oh no... forgot to bring my thumbdrive to work ... i store the pic inside.... but ... in just a weeks time ... it filled my skim cup with soya sauce... a whole cup full ... although i have to pour the skmate and wash the cup ... but i'm doing it with a smile.... i never had to pour skimate once a week... but now ... doing it happily .. Hmmm ... maybe its time to do some modification to prevent pouring and washing every week... i admit .. i'm lazy ... but that wat drives us isn't it ..?

i see... thanks bro!! my DIY tupperware skimmer is already in action... it skimmed out a cup full of soya sauce in just 1 week.. until today .. i'm still looking at the skimate in disbelieve.. my T5 light are not ready yet ... still in process .. together with it a hood ... i think i'll only consider starting SPS after all my equipment are ready .. .

i'll insert more details soon .. but i'm only using fan .. no chiller ... will be changing to T5s.. more details later ..

that depends... if u are going to buy from LFS that are going to raise prices for rare ones ... definately its going to be ex .. (u noe which ones I'm talking about) i got my from LFs that are rather just with their price... some of them .. for just as low as below $20.

i just stuff the the air tube into the lnlet of the pump .. i think by looking at my pic .. its quite obvious ... i din do anything to my pump ... just add air tube ..

i thik it only that overnite .. maybe about 12hr ... not too sure ... i just set it up .. then next day got skimate liao... the skimate is very thick becoz of the mircobubbles .. if put the water level all the way up to the neck .. the skimate is very dilute and have to pour very often ... waste my salt water too .. the main point is to put ur pump near to the water surface .. in that case .. more airbubbles .. oh yah .. i did not mod my pump at all .. and its a "no brand" pump running at 1200 L/hr .. and my outlet is fully open.

opps .. forgot to resize this .. MOD help pls .. evine: i used epoxy to stick then together.. no doubt there is still small leaks .. but.. it is a in-sump skimmer ... so no problem with that ..

this the another pic of it before i test and modify it .. notice the orange garden hose spray .. ?? it doesn't work... i mean it will with a very hugh pump ... but to save money ... forget about it ... flatten pvc pipe still better ..

hi ppls.. i just commissioned my tupperware injector skimmer last nite. by morning, the skimate is about 2 cm already .. spray injector is really the way to go ... will that pic of the setup tonite ... meanwhile... here it is ..

lastly, the whole setup... notice the amount of air tube i use... i think i solve the problem by putting the pump nearer to the water surface.. in this case .. more bubbles and then u can tune the output lower the reach a higher level in the skimmer .. then can solve the problem liao ... try it .. dunno will be the same as ur or not .
