ya for air to gush down will cause the standard performance of the skimmer as tuning also a problem
so that's the reason i do my tank with two down flow to the sump, one of it is taller than the one feeding the skimmer
so in this way u can have a full water feeding and some micro bubble only which won't even affect the skimmer
the other way is feeder pump

answer
1.) the set degree is at1 different only
2.) not sure bout the make by who but for sure it titanium coil
3.) for 500a is very quite u don't even notice it on in the day
4.) not the internal thermostat got problem is the regtangular water box is standing upright and the thermostat is at the bottom,
so cold water will be at the bottom that why the box cool faster than the output water
i've fixed up the ext thermostat to have a more accurate temp of the tank

do u have the shop name ?
shop is all round at the basement so u can ask around if want u can bring along a sample for them
price wise u can do a compare with others shop next door to get the best rate

u can get the parts at most of the plumping shop or hardware shop that sell the toilet flush system parts and ask for plastic chain and make sure all are plastic parts first

and one thing to take note as for the down flow holw pls remember to make it to at least 30mm wide
i've have mime done at 50mm and paid for the re-do work cause of the down flow not strough enough

i've treid it by adding a a T-off from the last elbow it'll reduce the bubble alot but there'll still have when it come the the end of the flow as water gush out of the outlet
As stated it can reduce bubble but not eliminate micro bubble

it only have 3 edpisode i've saw it on mio tv video on demand u can choose as and when u wanna watch, pause and resume function
those with mio and took up the video on demand will get to see it
there's also about those seal, sealion, polar bears and lots more

for those who wanna have a wavebox of the fuction of what i've done can also chip in and ask question
as i'll be more willingly to help in the connection and parts purchase
as i'll be doing the arylic box soon after i'm free
i've done the mod of the original wave controller and with additional of an interval circuit board broght from sim lim now i'm able to control it from every 1/8 second to 1 1/2 second interval on/off
all cost bout less than S$50/= without the pumpand box up
the plan is unlike others u see on youtube or forum
as my doesn't have the clicking sound from the controller when on off
