  1. Me too ! I love carpet Anemone! Saw one in AM before and fall in love with it! As PT, i used to have 7 x YT and 3 x PT living in a 4 FT tank before. Its okay one. Just need some tricks...
  2. Hi Kiko, Im using Rowa Pho for PO4 removal. During cycling for 1st 2 weeks, PO4 was very high. After adding Rowa Pho for my humble 14G, the level dropped drastically over a period of 1 week. HTH Ten
  3. Nice to see your clowns enjoying the Anemone. IMO, you should scape upwards. Then will have more place for other coral. Else, the look will be simple, with rocks at the bottom. Do some Epoxy, but take it easy wor, with a few epoxy spreading over a period.
  4. Luck is all i can rely on this mmt. Did all i could to try keep this beautiful thing alive... Ketchup, so no more Elegance after the 1st experience?
  5. Update; Infact, i took back the coral home yesterday. It doesnt look that good at home. But after a while, it seems better. This morning, it was slightly better than in my office tank for most part, expect for the lower left portion, in a rather shrunked look... Crossing my fingers..
  6. Wow, in that case, i try to challenge the impossible! Noted.
  7. thanks for sharing 91. guess, its all come to luck...when choosing this coral. Though its hardy, but heard that the way its harvasted from the sea, would easily injure it, which also prone to diseases...
  8. Thanks Lemon/Ray, noted your advices, and hopefully the coral can over come the disease...
  9. Siang, How about the placement? Can i place it higher? As i need to epoxy... Flow? High or lower? Whats your Opinion?
  10. 1) Placed in horizontal orientation, point down, mouths and tentacles facing upward, NOT in vertical settings as they are often arranged in reef systems. They really need to be placed "on their backs" 2) Semi-still waters. They come from settings with actually very little water movement, NOT as many hobbyists place them; in full front of a powerhead’s constant blast. Elegance corals need gentle, non-linear water movement. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/elegance.htm
  11. What about flow? i shifted from mid to bottom, however, the flow is still strong. Can see that the flow is causing the skin to retract even more.... Now its hiding between 2 x mountains. Hopefully this position will helps. . .
  12. Binsoage - Noted, i try to lay it on the bottom of the tank. (However, im on barebottom...) Ahsiang - that will be my highest temp. Current temp 25.5 ... 28+ will only hit during Sat/Sun Eniram - Disease?Huh? How would it look like if kana disease?
  13. Hi all, Need valuable experience from any of you. Just obtained 1 x beautiful Elegance Coral from Irwana. After placing in my tank, it opened up fantastically big. Awesome! However, into the 3rd day, the tentacles seems to have shrunk alot, and the body didnt expands as much as before. Placement: Mid~high Flow: High Light: High Food: JBJ Coral Food regularly Temp: >28.8degC NO3: 15~25 (last check today) Any comments will be appreciated. Ten
  14. Sad to hear that the 2 WM arent working. But just some thoughts...Did you check and test the pdts after you bought it hm? Sometimes, after not working for awhile, the shaft can be stucked or something. You might need to use a small stick to move it slightly when u turned it on... Just my 2 cents. HTH.
  15. Hi fellow reefer! Nice to hear of your 0 nitrate achievement! Mind sharing with us pic of how your filtration works? seems to me, your signature doesnt indicate any skimmer... Ten
  16. Thanks for your compliment, its still quite far from my desired scaping . . . Long long way to go... Its behaviour is kinda werid to understand as well. Its polyps would stay open for about 4 hours, and after lunch, it will close as though its hibernating . . . till late in the evening, fully open again. Lighting definitely arent important at all, very true from the readings found in the net. Finally, i found the Anemone after 2 weeks!! Rose Anemone!! Beautiful bubbles with Deep pink red to faint pinkish white! Waiting for my pairs of True Perc to host on it! hehehe Keeping my fingers Xxxx! CA/MG seems to be low, ever since the 1st day of cycling...Had been dosing red-sea Parts, but doesnt seems to work at all... But good news are that levels of PO4 and KH had dropped to the normal level!!
  17. Pic of Little Orange A new Mushroom, who can id for me? heehee (No price)
  18. FTS as of today Added an orange sea star! Beautiful ! Pink Cauliflower is doing fantastic at its new location, with its small polyps extending all since morning!
  19. Im trying out this beauty, and had also placed it at many postion, from top/centre/bottom placement. Top - High flow/high lights (2Whites+2TA Blues), its polyp doesnt seems to appreciate and wont open most of the time. Medium - Medium flow/high lights (2Whites+2TA Blues), , very similar to the top postion. Bottom - Medium flow , but with true Articnic Blue lights on (2TA Blues), , its polyps opened beautifully! Feeding JBJ coral Fluid 2 times a week.
  20. Already have 2 x small True Perc crown But they seems to be swimming only at the top most lever, hidden behind the oyama stickers... Planning another few fire goby. Thats about it. Wll be posting FTS later...
  21. Finally, cycling was over! Some updates of my tank as it is today. Feel free to leave some comments any time, any where!! Pink Cauliflower Banded Coral Shrimp Hard Tubeworm
