  2. ketchup, ur tank nicer! mine getting less complicated already...due to space constrain... I took out my camera, so that i can use it in camp hence, no camera...haha Now is excited about my scaping...how should i do it...?
  3. Delivery of tank, delayed...Till next week, as there were mistakes made to the cabinet. Lucky i pay a visit, and discovered the mistake. Another sad issue happened...Due to internal sump cabinet limitation, my sump tank was further reduced in size. This had cost me the frag placement partition... Arggh!!! Not only that, my auto top up reservior volume reduced as well... Well, guessed, that this is part of life, giving and taking Still overall glad that i had made the trip down to discuss with the maker.
  4. Terry, you had qiven me some good idea! I might wana cement my rocks together! What do you think of it? Possible? Then i can create the scape i wanted!
  5. Hope that the new LFS provide healthy LS and corals for the info.
  6. Concluded. Will be having a very white base sand as substrate! Getting Fiji Pink for the comments.
  7. Tested the migration tank NH4 and NO2, surprisingly, after only 2 weeks, they are not presence at all. At first, i thought the test steps were wrongly done, but after 3 tests, the results showed negligble amount. Going to do other tests tonite. If everything goes well, i will be starting to transf my Gems back home very soon

  9. quote name='Terryz_' date='24 November 2010 - 09:53 AM' timestamp='1290563614' post='953922'] Maybe, it make the tank looks darker...
  10. i suggest putting back the Urchin in the meanwhile.
  11. Really? Is it becos of your scape? Oni, you arent using sand right, why not go into sand bed as well
  12. Black sand I cant visiblily observe the dirt and will need silphoning. I will gradually become lazy and ignore silphoning! It really looks cool with the zen look, and there had been also discussion about black sands keeping the tank cooler But sad to say, its damn hard to find 1 good FTS from the net with black sandbed
  13. Im too waiting eagerly for the day to arrive. However, im pondering on the following; - Salt mix's brand (Decided on Red Sea Pro) Going to test the parameters of this brand - Live sand, White or Black???? To match my funitures, My Cabinet formica is going to be black with black oyama as backdrop... Will having black sand looks very dull? Any comments?

  17. Finally, after months of waiting, my 2nd personal tank will be ready in early Dec!
  18. And its time for a better scaping!
  19. Thank you Bro Ducados and James for your valuable inputs. They post great benefit for other forumn hobbist out there. Since there`s no disucssion before in this forumn, i treat this as a sharing thread for whoever entering this hobby to best select their ideal Marine tank material in the future. I guess the final choice lies with each individual end-user on their preference and "how deep the pocket" is and how long the tank is going to last etc. Silicon tank does give way after a period of time. I experienced a flooded house before in the middle of the night, and i do know how bad such experience can create for the user. So there fore the question again, how long can 1 tank last? No one will have the answer. Hence, there's no right or wrong answer to this question posted.
  20. Noted Sir, do recognise that Chengal is the most prefered material for marine related cabinet. If im richer, i will upgrade my tank and the cabinet as well. Cause my ambition is greater than what im going to do soon, Thanks for your input!
