More pictures... my Overflow and Returnflow pipings.. Initial design was a direct straight line pipe from pump to main tank. However, due to space constraint and "wrongly" measurement from tank-maker, this is the result...additional blend was created... Sump FTS Due to space constraint from the sump cabinet doors and pillar supports, my sump size had strunked, eating up my frag corners/Water reservior. But its my fault. No one to blame for that...i had not consider the restriction from interior of Sump cabinet...(Its okay, learnt from mistake...my only consolution...)

It had been a tough week, handling work in the day...and scaping at night! CO had been very helpful and supportive for the past 3 days. I came to learn that scaping with expoxy arent that easy chore...im filled with admiration for those who really did up beautiful rock scaping! Scaping objective 1. increase the surface area of the sand in contact with water as much as possible 2. Raise and stack the rocks up as high as possible 3. Avoid Rocks placement close to the 3 sided viewing glass After 3 days, finally, some pictures to show...heehee Front View Side Views

Need your advise on the real thing hahaha

I believed that it will be fine. I had seen coris living without sand. It still alive and kicking. My yellow wrasse also living in bare bottom condition.

Thanks bro,i just had an almost backbreaking experience, cleaning the 3 sided tank. A few things to look out for... 1. I have to get a longlong algae scraper. 2. A good step up for me to reach inside. (Ladder too fumsy already) 3. medicated plaster for my aching muscle.

Joey, sad for your loses. But, please bear in mind, thought its known to be a aggressive and territorial specis, individual still differ. The main concern i guessed, would be the qualtity of the enivorment in the Q tank and main tank, was the parameter similar or differ dramatically? Minor concern would be the aggressiveness of your other fishes in the Main Tank. Noticed from your video, you have 1 x PT, 1 x YT, they are well known to be terriortial. My suggestion would be as follow. 1. Release newcomer at night or during off-light period. (As Bro Oniz suggested) 2. Since there's so many terrorital fishes ard, break the territorial of each different tangs, by doing a new scape. This will confused the fishes and hence allowed the new fish to adapt to the new environment. Best of luck to your next try! Ten

ID: Worm like with many yellow tentacles
tench1 replied to tench1's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
Thanks bro! Terebellidae is a family of polychaete worms. They are surface deposit feeders, catching falling particles with numerous elongate prostomial tentacles splayed out on the sea floor. These tentacles, which are the most or only normally visible portion of the animal and are reminiscent of spaghetti, inspired the common name spaghetti worms. The remainder of the animal is in a semi-permanent burrow or permanent tube in soft substrates. Checked the net, and there arent any complaint or good comment about this little worm. Hence, will be putting in back to the tank. -
Guys, had found some "alien worm-like stuff" in my nano. Finally managed to catch it while its stretching across from a rock to coral. Anyone can ID?

There's a sohal in your video, was that the one that died? or??

i tried Ehiem Pump submerged and unsubmerged before. Submerged - no sound at all. Unsubmerged - yes, sound created by the vibration from pump in-touch with my cabinet base.

Marshall, the last post was 2 yrs ago !!!

How much fluctuation was the temp? IMO, high temp doesnt really kill blue tang and maroon clown. I used to have FOWLR with numerous numbers of diff tangs and crowns, under no chiller conditions. They survived from start till decomm for more than 2 years. Hence, perhaps, the cause of death could be water parameters?
