  1. ic thanks bro! might get the sand if my new setup is coming love the natural looks from the sand inside your tank
  2. 4x2x2 for the above stock list is more then enough! your tank might be abit empty didn't keep puffer before so unable to advise much. Let us know your skimmer price range so as we can advise you further for FOWLR, beckett skimmer is cheap and a good skimmer (but higher electricity comsumption) depending on your skimmer/water change routine, tangs are a very good choice of FOWRL as they are not shy swimmers and the colour are quite attractive! Attached the below of my FOWLR before i decom might give you a better idea of what type of fishes you want! all the best~
  3. ooo i c, any negative other then this for this sand?
  4. bro wanna check on your Hawaiian black sand, do you siphon the sand to clear the dirt? will it be too fine that when you siphon it, it will suck out?
  5. 好人有好报! All the best in finding the delivery service you need sis~
  6. check whether got nudis at your zoas, or observe any corals nipping at it.
  7. try to run another pump with lower flowrate as a feeder pump for the chiller and see whether it works. also, when you buy the chiller, is it brand new? try to send it for servicing also, but 1/10 for your 3 feet tank if with sump abit under power.
  8. you can have some tangs inside but beware they are poo machine, buy small tangs and not big adult tang (5-6feet and above) with too many in it. must have a good skimmer for that with many spaces for them to swim
  9. yup it's possible, but quite hard to make it feed, but there's always a chance. you can soak the pellet in seamchem garlic and when feeding it with cyclopeeze, feed it together with the pellet. one day you might see it eats all the best! patience is the key
  10. very colourful tank! love the colour combination! nice
  11. bro glad you recovered! welcome to SRC If you change water frequently and dose ca/kh/mg, actually dont really must have a dosing pump (but yes with dosing pump it will be much more easier)

  16. Quote from hubpages website: Behavior : They usually dwell from bottom to top and across all the areas of the tank. They’ll often hide under stone/marble cave if there is any else they’ll lurk around live rock. They’re peaceful towards other peaceful tank-mates but they’ll often have conflicts with other butterfly fishes like Copperband butterfly fish and Racoon Butterfly fish. Also don’t place them with tang fishes. They’re not reef tank safe and will often attack other small invertebrate & small coral. They’re popular in aquarium trade so there will not be much hassle to find and purchase them. In such case you can order them online. Their cost starts from 27$ onwards. You can keep multiple specimen inside one tank and there will not be much conflict if the tank is larger. For large saltwater aquarium setup they’ll put a good show. Quote from Liveaquaria website: Heniochus Black & White Butterflyfish (Heniochus acuminatus) QUICK STATS Minimum Tank Size: 50 gallons Care Level: Easy Temperament: Peaceful Reef Compatible: No Water Conditions: 72-78° F, dKH 8-12, pH 8.1-8.4, sg 1.020-1.025 Max. 23. hi arie, yes the fishes wil be fine for the first few days, after a few weeks or days when ammonia start to spike, diaster will strike. i would really recommend you to read up more of cycling to prevent you from going through this stage where you lost all your precious livestock. Just Briefly: 1) Cycle your tank after adding bacteria 2) check the ammonia->nitrite->nitrate cycling process. 3) wait for one month for the cycling to finish (varies on situation) 4) stock slowly 1 fish per week you will reduce the lost of precious livestock with this and your $. we learn as we go on and try not to shop on impulse, think on the long run! *Note: other bros/sis and me are not scolding/insulting/cursing you (please do not take it this way), just dont want you to go through what others did, am glad you join this forum to learn more. And lastly, happy reefing!
