there are many species of razor wrasse and all are very rare! seldom come in! chingchai has an amazing pink one from dejong marine. see if you can get that. i forgot the species name. i'm very bad with razor wrasse ID. but bear in mind they are difficult!

this species is quite rare. the females are available from time to time but males are quite rare. but they are extremely difficult to keep alive. they are probably one of the hardest species of tamarin wrasses in the genus anampses and almost always arrive in horrible conditions. and males have a survivability rate of almost 0%. from all RC accounts, they either do not feed or they die from other shipping related injuries. the females do much better than the males and you can keep a group of them, and hopefully one will morph into a male.

razor wrasses are reef safe. they hunt for crustaceans in the sand that are small enough to fit in their mouths. so not safe for sexy shrimps and other tiny invertebrates. but coral safe and big shrimp safe. their head do resemble abit like parrot fishes. square head with very strong teeth.

ahhh finally it is out. this little fish here is a razor wrasse. the exact species name i forgot though :/ razor wrasse are rare in the hobby and this is the 2nd one i saw and tried. unfortunately they can be a little hard to keep. my first one did not feed and died. this guy is feeding on frozen food after hiding in the sand for 3 days. but they are thin, streamlined and perfect for sand diving. and very very timid. a hood is a must! look at the squarish head. doesn't it look like a dinosaur or some kind of.... lizard? i think it's very cute.

yes the colour is exactly that of clown tang. this butterflyfish is endemic to only in hawaii. it's a relic species there.
