  1. And just to confirm, there are no true type species of shepardi angels in the Philippines. Quoted by John copps. All those there are hybrids. Multicolored have however, been confirm to be found in Philippines and har made that jump from Palau.
  2. the problem will be getting vanuatu shipment there seems to be a shortage of those. go pester victor! one lemon is not irritating enough for him apparently!
  3. according to literature, mystery wrasse will lose the white bars when they reach adult and are usually purple color. but i see so many vanuatu mystery wrasse in adult size that keep the white bars and remain red. so i dunno. mystery! (pun intended)
  4. it's the same as zoas. when people coin fancy names for fish, it applies to corals too. that's why most suppliers rather use the "golden rhomboidalis wrasse" as compared to rhomboid wrasse. or hawaiian jordani flame wrasse, compared to flame wrasse. bombastic sounding names always draw more attention!
  5. it's in germany now. the flight from cebu to germany will already rake up a huge sum. to ship it back to asia will double the cost. then in asian market they will triple it to sell to rare fish collectors. crazy. just put in iwarna's philippine shipment and sell us at $25 can? haha
  6. dunno!!! imported by europe lfs. I WANT IT SOOO BADLY LEH!! you would think the first one is a fluke but then this came out! SICK SICK SICK!
  7. another super rare multicolor x rusty from the philippines.
  8. katherine is only found in guam and japan. so the appearance of the guam damsels confirm that there is indeed collection going on there which has been closed for many years now! so these fishes indicate that the long hiatus has been lifted. now there are two questions that are burning through my mind. 1) where have the other katherinae that liveaquaria obtained in the past come from? japan? cannot be! 2) will we start seeing flavocoronatus and shepardis from guam now that there is collection? omg exciting.
  9. did they have the shipment from guam!? amazing if so. there has been no collection there for years!
  10. Wah your scape is gorgeous now. Where u get the pallidus! Got new ones meh?
  11. yeah so far all the pics are grainy horrible quality from books. the tail is very nice!
  12. that's a very rare kingi x trimaculatus hybrid. as if the kingi wasn't rare enough!
  13. i've seen plenty of lineatus wrasse and plenty of alpha terminal phase ones but this one is just crazy. check out the ventral fins! insanely long.
  14. used to be super rare and unobtainable but now everywhere is getting them. and cheap! cf sells them at only $18. i have 3
  15. omg, here's pseudochromis marshallensis frmo fishbase. Western Pacific: Philippines and Taiwan to Vanuatu, south to northwestern Australia and New Caledonia; eastern Caroline and Marshall Islands in Micronesia. NOT ENDEMIC?! HAHA the irony.
  16. digi thank for all these sourcing of amazing fish. without your help i would only have half of these amazing stories to share on rb! so the plesiops is what? the yellow head one or the drab one? both also you list a plesiops coeruleolineatus
  17. two rare fish in LADD today. a rare undescribed terelabrus from maldives. aquamarin brought in many of them before at super cheap price. but no more already. also a very rare kiritimati triggerfish and this one is extra rare coz it's very small!
  18. yes that's a hybrid of Genicanthus takeuchi and genicanthus semifasciatus. it's a male. and it's very nice!
  19. If you are not planning to quarantine your fishes then it's only a matter of time before dIsease wipes your tank again. Doesn't matter if you kill all parasites now and prazi and what not. When u add new fish without discretion and quarantine, your fIshes will get infected again. If you don't want to do quarantine at least stock slowly and stock with discretion to reduce risk but not eliminate disease. Doing fresh water dips to remove flukes will help too.
