  5. Hello have a question not sure where to find the answers.. i have a "refuge" now, ok its just a sump full of floating ulva -.- i have never had a "refuge" before, so dunno what to do. should i do reverse photoperiod? or 24 hr fotoperiod or wat. also, will ulva go asexual? thanks. i have added eggcrate to prevent stray pieces of ulva from floating away and getting sucked into my pump and skimmer.

  7. these fishes nice ah? haha. the monos are quite prety when they are adult, with yellow/orange fins. but the catfish and the halfbeak? u dun wanna add other nicer looking fish? although i must say, these fish do make unique and cool tank inhabitants.
  8. lol. i dun like epoxying rocks. very laychey and when wan to rescape very mafan. but yea make its secure. and PVC pipes are good. can create good structure and holes for fish to swim tru

  12. Thanks for the kind words (: i enjoy posting and being a part of this community too! regarding the hogfish, Bodianus anthioides (Bennett 1832), the Lyretail Hogfish. Indo-Pacific, including the Red Sea (where this picture was made) out to the Tuamotus. To nine inches in length. A gentle beauty as the genus goes. One and three inch juveniles and six inch adult in the Red Sea. http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/SpeciesSummary.php?id=5497 look at the distribution range Indo-Pacific: Red Sea to South Africa (Ref. 35918) and east to the Line and Tuamoto islands, north to southern Japan, south to New Caledonia and the Austral Islands.
  13. was suppose to go get a blue tang today. but those at CF all had ich, and jirh had no more tangs. so..came home without a blue fish ): But clever me. i still have my very old blue damsel that was banished into the sump remember? haha. caught it and added it in tank again. cheapskate XD. not the aggressor anymore. its being kept in check by the behn's damselfish. and my 2 cleaner shrimp took a liking to my new rock of GSP and xenias, courtesy of sis ming. XD its their home now.
  14. depends on location too. actually, dont be suprised at the price difference! sometimes the same fish can come from 2 totally different areas, but the price differ ALOT. also depends la. if its a farm, usually much much cheaper. for example, a copperband butterfylfish from singapore or indo/malaysia can cost anywhere from $8-$10. but if its from australia, be prepared to pay $30+ for it. thats more than 3x the price.
  15. 1.5 months only ): i hope it stays alive. even tho it may be feeding like a champ, i have heard stories of it just dying mysteriously ):
