  1. that is a lobophyllia. u can feed it small meaty foods like mysis shrimp when their feeder tentacles open at night. feeding is not necessary though
  2. sorry to hear about the FW. from which shipment?
  3. dont remove them if they dont eat the zoas lor. check the zoas to see if any polyps are actually gone haha. colourful little snails.
  4. yup usually they bring in juvenile ones! but sometimes adult ones too. i find thejuveniles very nice huh?
  5. have 2 bumblebee snailsthat always stick on my zoas. they never eat the zoas but actually eat the detrisus inbetween...
  6. this is common if the clown hosts corals. are your clowns playing around in corals? if they do, they will develop these spots. regardless of corals i find. have seen this in clowns that play in corals that don't even sting, like leathers and zoanthids.
  7. continue doing that and it will die. trust me
  8. may i ask what is the point of this thread? besides knowing if anyone kept a chevron tang before. this is a rather "common", occasionally available, and easy fish to keep as with most other bristletooth tangs. keping it from juvenile to adult just takes time.
  9. Ptereleotris evides anyway, lemonpeel angels, (centropyge flavissimus) can commonly be found in hawaii shipments. they do come in often, though not in large quantities, in hawaii shipments. occasionally imported during fiji and vanuatu shipments too. mainly available during hawaii shipments. there are no lemonpeels found in the carribean
  10. more leathers for you! can make handbags and shoes liao!
  11. wow nice from where? the zoas from pinnicle ytd got some quite unique ones too..
  12. oh my god that's the leather i gor for u?? LOL wah. lemonlemon really bo bei zao v nice. that coral is purple after all.... oops
  13. haha doing some work at that time... i dont sleep so early 1. hi this fish is very common. ah beng should have some
  14. radioactive dragon eyes. go to www.zoaid.com, click gallery and then click zoas and palys. u can ID ur zoas here
  15. Hi macrobutt. i too am using this timer and have no bad comments so far. a few of my close reefing friends here have been using it too and so far so good. ikea also sells the 3pin plug with 2 sockets to put ur two pin plugs in. these are very useful! 2 2 pin plugs in 1. and the sockets are deep enough so that the un-earthed two pins will not be exposed and wont leak electricity. you should look out for this.
  16. yup. turn off the lights when cycling. this way, can prevent nuisense algae from growing at the same time.
  17. 80-20. not safe with feather worms and anemones. may peck on corals but low chances, although very unlikely. their mouth not built for pecking on corals. but they do peck on clams sometimes. unless u get one that is feeding, dont keep in 2ft. not enuf liverock for them to pick on.
  18. fully agree with bro solo. i think solo is one of those reefers who manage to pull of this amazing feat! impressed by the fishes he keep. 91 litres, i still wont reccomend a clown tang for a tank your size. if u really want a tang, get those 1 inch size blue tangs? they grow fast but u can remove and sell once they get bigger....
