  1. you can go for the swissguard basslet. looks rather similar, just not as striking and with different colours for the stripes. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_di...7&pcatid=57
  2. yes good point! only going to stick a few corals at the sides. but i'm definately not touching the sand. i hardly see sand in my tank! too many rocks!! lol. i'm thinking zoas, cloves and maybe some mushrooms.. hopefully wont clutter the place too much.
  3. thanks zhimin! preparation work for future additions :eyebrow: joe: EH they are not sunkists LOL. what was i thinking... the orange ones are mandarin oranges ._. silly me..
  4. cleared some rocks away to form this!! i really really love it. increases the feel of depth and makes the tank look more spacious now. fishes also enjoy swimming in that area. flow there is rather slow, and the lighting is not very bright. it looks abit raw and rocks look abit pale because it was behind the 2 big rocks before i moved it, so there's minimal growth of algae/coraline. but there's great potential for this. maybe a soft coral corner in the making an exciting little "project" to stock this area. also can add more fishes now that the swimming space is better..
  5. flame wrasse is now part of my reef good that there's no chasing. only the occasional territorial shoo away from the flame angel.
  6. yep. more or less confirmed. so stay tuned! plenty more exotic shipments coming your way too the long awaited wrasse that most wrasse players will want to chiong might be coming too from down under
  7. i would love to. still thinking though. its in a very awkward position. started out as a little frag which i wedge into a little crevice. it now grew out of the crevice and encrusted all over the surrounding rock. to frag it will be really challenging
  8. played jenga just now and removed two big rocks! so happy. always though my tank was a little dense in terms of rockscaping, so took good friend joe_p's advice and remove some. big clearing with a nice patch of sand that is visible now. lovely! more swimming space and can put some corals that prefer some shade there. haha.
  9. ricordea lovers heads up!! new ricordea shipment at ktizo marine!
  10. VERY CUTE LOL! but you forgot 1 more purple note. not the $2 one... but the..

  12. hey ahlee..will try to put some pictures of zoas to trade... if not, would like to buy them if can. thanks
  13. they can and will... have you touched a carpet before? its extremely sticky. extremely. have seen them eat a perfectly healthy neon goby and clown gobies before.

  16. certainly! but still. sigh. they're absolutely stunning. keep in a fridge maybe can
  17. thre are three kinds of jewel damselfish belonging to the family Microspathodon. all of them grows to huge sizes, smallest being Microspathodon chrysurus, which grows to about 4 inches. the other two grows to 9 and 10 inches respectively. although will not reach such sizes in captivity, they will lose the spots when matured. M.chrysurus (the 4 inch adult) will still retain some of the spots.. unfortunately, your damsel will lose the spots in due time, and i do believe it is one of the 9 to 10 incher ones. its grey, unlike the two other blue counterparts from the atlantic. never the less, enjoy them now for the spots are beautiful. and sorry to hear for your mini crash. come back stronger!
