  1. can be mixed with any fish. they are usually v peaceful. strange it didnt eat brine shrimp? dont feed brine shrimp. feed mysis. its better. brine shrimp is useless.
  2. my salinity was low, around 1.020. i was lazy so i just poured some salt into the main tank, and let the salt dissolve on it's way down. as the salt slowly floats down, the rocks were immersed in super salted water. it's fun to see stuff crawling out to die. those things that survived the freshwater dip.. THEN OUT OF NOWHERE THIS THING SWAM OUT LIKE AN EEL. WHAT THE HELL! TO THINK I TOUCHED THE LIVEROCK IT WAS IN! EEEEEEEEEEEE
  3. haha bro cf. the picture, the male and female tombalek. the "female" you show here have a thin black edge on the ventral fins. should be male
  4. no tips. this fish is really really easy. especially if they are captive bred. try to provide some sort of cave or overhang. they like gathering around them. don't attempt to keep anything but one lone one or a pair. if there are more than 1, they will fight till the death unless they are paired.
  5. looks like 70kg of liverock is just nice afterall. with a little bit left to spare.
  6. yup there we go. i was right then. bryan, the yashas at pinnicle are all females
  7. o! your old nano is a stunner too
  8. you should see it when he drives his uncle's bently and rolls-royce.
  9. if my memory serve me correct, male yashas have a black edge on their ventral fins. or was it females that have this marking? anyway, those at pinnicle all do not have the black edge on the ventral fins. forgot isit male or female that have this marking... maybe someone can chime in?
  10. super cheap, underrated, under-appreciated, and common fish. but they look so freaking nice in the wild compared to our home. i had the exact same 1 before. giant alpha male. even at it's prime flashing, doesn't look as nice as this.
  11. isit? hmm. must reconsider when i actually do see it!
  12. don't mind my incessant posting. i've made it a point to pen down everything that's going through my mind and what i do. so that i will have a complete thread and not like my half baked previous thread. The tank is clearing up very well with about 60% visibility. sand bed looks so clean now. dread the diatoms that will begin growing everywhere in the weeks to come
  13. Cirrhilabrus aurantidorsalis. apparently dam common but i've never seen it? would like this too!
  14. Chaetodon declivis kept before but only for a short while wanna try it agian. besides. it's so pretty my only worry is 2 roaps in the same tank. this and the mitratus.. hmm.. my tank is big so should be alright
  15. Chaetodon mitratus already bagged this baby and is in my holding tub. my only hope is it lives long enough in the little 1 star hotel until my tank is ready. hang in there buddy!
  16. must make my dream come true and stick to my stocklist no matter what. no point keeping boring uninteresting fishes that i've kept before in the past. this time must spice things up! if everything goes well, Chelmon marginalis will be hitting our shores via reborn during their next australia shipment. i've asked them and they said it's on their stocklist. if i want it, they wont mind bringing it in provided there's interest. i just hope it's not too big,
  17. nope. it's really a spider. no idea how it got there too. anyway. the new deltec SC series is really something! turned it on for only 15mins and look at all the crap it skimmed out. must be from the sand O.o
  18. yes i see alot of them crawling around the floor. all of them are very tiny. few mm only. but nonetheless, must kill all. i've already killed alot. i see alot of stuff on my rocks lah. there's even a spider living in my rock. have no idea how the hell a terrestrial spider found it's way there. it built a web there lol.
  19. 70 kg of liverock. it's not even enough for half the tank. zzzzzz
  20. awake since 7am till now doing tank stuff i've been busy the past couple of hours dealing with this! washing 7 packets of sand, and left 2 haven wash.
  21. D: it's ok. i've seen the rocks. alot of crabs but all very tiny and i've killed majority. the rocks are good coz there isnt tiny holes for it to hide. anyway will let them die of dryness and lack of water etc..
