  1. alveopora is not the easiest coral to care for just FYI.
  2. don't feed brine shrimp............................ just feed mysis. it costs about the same and is a hundred times more nutritious.
  3. Of all the Genicanthus, Genicanthus lamark is probably the most common one, unworthy of being posted in this thread. however giant alpha males are quite rare. today i saw a huge alpha male one but decided to give it a pass.... love the blue pectoral fin base, yellow forehead and the jet black pelvic fins.
  4. many male lamark angels at ah beng. it's not often that male lamark angels appear out of the few males, one very terminal alpha male lamarck's angel. characterized by the jet black pelvic fins, yellow nape and brilliant blue pectoral fin base. Tail streamers are very long too.
  5. rubriventralis females are one of the nicer female fairy wrasses.
  6. Not sure . Not a vry common wrasse... Nv see it lately. Where did u get it and how much? The price and shipment got it fron will conform its identity
  7. there are only a few cirrhilabrus with white belly. one of the rarest being marjorie but you confirm don't have that one. it's not obtainable here yet. most likely cirrhilabrus adornatus cirrhilabrus filamentosus cirrhilabrus condei cirrhilabrus flavidorsalis cirrhilabrus naokoae these 5 are red with white belly. do a search, perhaps on of them is your wrasse.
  8. 1 is ok lah. lunatus doesn't seem to be the kind that will fade colour without a female. besides just keep with other fairies lor. it shud be fine. not cheap leh -.- talk as if will really get. i wanna go blue habour so badly!
  9. some pictures of Cirrhilabrus marjorie to tickle your taste buds. i had a very rare photo of a wild picture of a harem of C. marjorie in the wild. 2 alpha males and 10+ females. i lost the pic unfortunately. that photo was very long ago and was way before it was even named as C. marjorie. back then it was still Cirrhilabrus sp. anyway,.. some other photos of such a nice fish. the alpha males are nice. i hope to see this fish in the next walt smith shipment. pray pray pray. and hope it won't be too expensive.
  10. if i go to japan and lucky enough to see one, i will buy it back
  11. More pictures of Cirrhilabrus lunatus. this time some haremic pictures of them in the wild. this is one fairy wrasse i MUST get within my lifetime. i'll find a way... last pic shows a juvenile female. female lunatus are one of the nicest female fairies also one of the most variable species of fairies. showing a broad spectrum of colours.
  12. nothing. galaxy is one of the most aggressive corals. place nothing beside it except other galaxy corals. it will make short work of almost anything else with it's long sweeper tentacles.
  13. what's so nice about this fish...? IMO there are so many nicer leopard wrasses out there. i'm more willing to try choati again now that i have prazi.
  14. hmm.... seems like everyone is in the radiant wrasse craze? such a common fish yet so beautiful. this fish used to go unnoticed during africa shipments... now everyone is talking about it. good publicity for this fish. a true beauty that's so often over looked.
  15. lol. lest you end up like us... this has to be my favourite thread in SRC i guess. i just love looking at all these rare fishes. some i know i will never get, some i know is still obtainable, and some you will NEVER get even if you had the money. and those rare ones that are obtainable, the thrill of the hunt is so nice.
  16. yes she's a young lady. she's very pretty, very nice, and very sweet. she's a young mother with young daughters. i think in pri school. yes the dog is mega cute..
  17. macropharyngodon kuiteri is commonly offered on liveaquaria. it's not even on diver's den. you can get it as a regular fish under the wrasse section. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+1536+2968&pcatid=2968
  18. kuiteri leopard is very common on LA. but never see here
  19. ups for u bro had a nice time talking to you today
  20. Cirrhilabrus is one of my favourite genus of all marine fish. my past 2 years of reef keeping have been focused on this genus and now i'm trying to source for the rarer ones like marjorie. Like digiman said, marjorie, roseafascia, pintail etc are the very rare ones but are still obtainable to some degree. there's a thrill in slowly hunting for them. you should start a collection of cirrhilabrus! their nuptial colours are amazing.
