  1. Cirrhilabrus randalli. rowley shoals endemic, looks like cyanopeura x luteovittatus.
  2. the closely related but similar looking sister species, Cirrhilabrus walindi. also, Cirrhilabrus marjorie at the top. superb photos of C. marjorie!
  3. featuring some very rare labrids. for one, conniella apterygia, the mutant wrasse. with no pelvic fins in all recorded specimens and no pelvic fin structures even
  4. IT'S HERE!! IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!!!

  5. i bought from ahbeng. 1.2 red notes each. sealife has tons of them in case you want. CF also
  6. actually. no one really knows if shepardi is a legit species or not. there have been debates that shepardi is actually a flame x rusty hybrid that waif from cebu to guam, and start new population there. most flame x rusty look like shepardi to a certain extent. or shepardi could be a legit species that coincidently looks like a rusty x flame. hopefully one day we will see a rusty x flame that looks alot like a shepardi. coz i like shepardi alot.
  7. Trinorfolkia sp. aka emerald blenny. lck came 2 that day and i bought 1 but it died on the way home in the bag.
  8. yes they will become annoying like all cleaner shrimps. but they're nice and their annoyance is usually quite mild and can be curbed. when they get big, they get lazy and don't really clean ur fish. and they will steal food from your corals. can be prevented if you feed them first then feed your coral. i get them coz they look nice. not for their cleaning. corals? yes. very little only lah. few pieces of white pom pom fiji xenias, some rather hardy ones. SPS not yet
  9. hi mossrope nice meeting you again ha!. nope, did not get the snow basslet. although a very rare fish and possibly one of the first few ever to be exported out of the carribean, i did not get it. actually if i did, i could probably get on glassbox design lol. the price is actually cheaper than those in the states. but still abit too pricey for me and i'm not really interested in it as much as wrasses or butterflies/angels. so nope. din get it. maybe digiman will! and i hope he does. i only bought 2 cleaner shrimps and 2 blood shrimps. look so miniscule in my tank. maybe i should get 2 more of each.
  10. very stupid name as far as scientific names go. Anthias anthias. there's not alot of species in the world with genus name being the same as species name.... some species of butterfly also if i remember correctly. anyway, the anthias anthias. these are nicer pictures... i refuse to post the ones with the giant anthias anthias that looks like a grandmother! so scary!!
  11. our tiny island will crumble like a cookie if the said lines were to be built anyway. too ambitious. just get the circle line completed first then talk about the rest. dam buona vista's circle line station taking so long.
  12. the africanum doesn't stand out as much as the tronstrinum!
  13. i noticed. but i didn't want to say anything also lah hehe. just play along lor.... if they somehow got lobang to get shepardi we also dunno. although super unlikely. but shepardi is a very nice angel. the common name, mango angel, really reminds me of a super ripe mango. so sweet and delicious.
  14. add the very shy fishes first followed my the most aggressive. for angels and butterflies, add them in after at least 3 months for the tank to stabalise. butterflies, especially, are very prone to white spots. even worse than tangs. and unlike tangs, butterflies will not gain immunity as well as tangs. so the spots will only get worse and do not subside unlike tangs and certain angels. these 2 groups of fishes, should you want to try, are reccomended only after your tank has matured abit. mean time, go for hardier ones first. and start with the shyest.
  15. exactly. they say shepardi very easy to get. well there have been many miracles, so i tend to keep an open mind now. maybe they referring to rusty/flame
  16. looks like a worm! anyway, digiman and i have a feeling the shepardis and rusty/flame are not going to be so easy to get. i had a fishy feeling just now coz these two fishes are very rare, i dun think they can be obtained so easily. moreover, shepardi is from guam, not hawaii. we'll see and hope it's true lol.
  17. they are not difficult to get feeding....just very skittish and very shy. a bare tank is actually good for them since there's nothing to scare it.
  18. copps's amazing angel SPS tank. if you look closely, you will realise his pair of genicanthus semifasciatus (yellow mask angels), are both females! the larger one is morphing back to a female. hmm...... don't understand the reverse sex change in genicanthus despite a female? there are many cases of this happening even here. especially with watanabei and yellow mask http://glassbox-design.com/2010/coppolino-copps-reef-angelfish-video/
  19. some lucky guy in RC obtained liopropoma africanum!! one of my favourite liopropomas.
  20. SL have very nice flame angels and very very nice lemonpeels with very vibrant blue trim even on it's fins. plenty of fisheri dwarf angels too. nice! maybe the buyer backed out.
  21. so sad to hear about your golden angel, dnsfpl! hope it recovers soon. looks like this fish is just relentless. it just wants to create problems even when it's healthy and feeding on pellets.
  22. if for feeding then just use market prawns. so much easier to find and just as good, if not, better. cut small pieces. dun feed to big, or too much.
  23. what do you need them for? if for feeding, normal table shrimp aka market prawns work just as well. if i'm not wrong, silversides is some kind of herring/anchovie?
