  1. bali soft corals and fish @ iwarna this friday. subjected to changes
  2. wrought iron butterfly is one of my favourite japanese fish. not for it's rarity, because it isn't, but because of it's sheer uniqueness and beauty that no other fish in the world can rival. that is, it's metallic sheen. it's metallic body is really like a real piece of metal and the name wrought iron butterfly is so apt. but if i were to get a wrought iron now, i won't have any money for the next few months and i cannot survive like that. lol. so i won't get it now. although can import wrought iron butterflies in any quantity from BH, the cost will not be as good as LCK's one. so hopefully the next time LCK brings it in again, i will be ready for it. for now just let digiman buy then i go his house admire .ha.
  3. price is very very attractive for the wrought iron butterflies, so i've heard. very tempting..
  4. P. ventralis and P. tuka. gorgeous fishes that are so difficult.
  5. the SPS are all so healthy. the pink band on the roseafascia is so deep and beautiful but the tail not long enough yet.
  6. skimming out thick stuff at the neck = dry skimming skimming out watery skimmate in the cup = wet skimming. it's not the efficiency of deficiency of your skimmer. it's how you tune it. both methods of skimming are commonly employed and depends on your preference for dry or wet skim. personally i prefer dry skim as i have to clean it less often and saves water from my tank. wet skim removes more chemicals which is better. but dry skim removes for organics which is also good. both have their pros and cons.
  7. Coraline algae everywhere! yay

  8. Tryssogobius colini @ AM? wow. either they got it from CF, or CF is not the exclusive LFS that sells this fish anymore. good! more available now means more people can keep this lovely nano fish.
  9. to be honest, alot of gorgeous soft corals we cannot get here. if you think our leathers are green, you aint seen nothing yet. softies are extremely gorgeous but we don't get the nice ones here. that's why i gave up my dream of a softy ONLY tank. there are - neon green cabbage leathers (Sinularia brassica) - Neon green sinularia leather corals - gorgeous white Xenia unbellata corals from the red sea - purple kenya tree corals (Capnella sp.) and so many more. the only two very very rare soft corals i have now is the true neon blue cespitularia and the green nepthea. both of which are now unobtainable and extremely rare. blue cesp may reappear again depending on steven, but green nephthea will never appear again. my blue cesp is different from the one circulating the market now. it's a different strain. next time i will pass you a frag of each when they grow bigger. gorgeous neon green and electric blue softies are sure to make your tank even more beautiful.
  10. wow very beautiful. very very beautiful! yes lovely. must get 2. 1 male 1 female can already. alot of ppl make the mistake of buying one giant group and all just scare themself to death. gorgeous modestus! HA! no lah. the tuxedo damsel is a common fish and it's a damsel. its sure bound to be available sooner or later.
  11. this goby is a lousy sand sifter. will spray sand everywhere
  12. deltec is the best. seriously. i think deltec is even better than BK. especially the new SC series
  13. all these pics have been shown before in the hybrid thread. there's alot of very gorgeous and rare angels there like the world's only multicolour x coral beauty, and the fisher x potter there. but it's wonderful that a new thread is made to showcase only angels as the other hybrid thread is a mish mash of everything else. lovely picture of the famous tiger pyge there.
  14. jet black probably from the carbon residue. coz i never wash properly i guess.
  15. i agar agar dose one. just happy happy pour only.
  16. yes i know how resilient they are if you knew how long this piece has been lying around uncared for and where, you will understand perfectly wakaka. anyway yes i use rowa carbon and i change them monthly.
  17. it's a neglected piece that has been lying around for MONTHS after the last few walt smith shipment
  18. @ wilson. your gorgonian is photosynthetic. feeding plays a less important role than light. @ digi. let's hunt for this gorgonian together. Pseudopterogorgia bipinnata. Its very colourful, appearing in purple, yellow, pink etc. it has a VERY unique shape, like a giant feather. and most importantly, it's photosynthetic. it's from the carribean and i think reborn bring in before, but i want big colonies of it. here's some pictures. no carribean biotope will be complete without it.
  19. blue cesp still spreading. love the fluffy polyps. my original colony's progeny
  20. Updates on my roseafascia wrasse. the pelvic fins are entirely yellow and the blue spot is very prominant. dorsal fin is entirely yellow. yellow band below the pink dorsal band is very outstanding now. tail is slightly rhomboidal in shape compared to round few months ago. starting to flash sporadically which indicates that it's now a male. i predict in 1-2 months, the colours will brighten up even more. the tail will become even more rhomboidal in shape first, then slowly elongate to a lanceolate tail. it's having a kick exerting aggression to all my smaller fishes, which explains it's quick transition into a male. hehe i don't want to take any photos of it now because i don't have a good camera. but here's a picture of my possum wrasse in if you look at the background, you can see the roseafascia's blue pelvic fins SO BLUE.
  21. alot of carbon! the algae on the sand just went away by itself. the coraline is growing because of the CR i guess. so is the SPS.
