  1. for semicinctus and spinus, kermedec island and pitcairn island is not out of bounds. so can go. but lord howe is. so for semicinctus only can get from kermedec.
  2. haha. i'm hoping he would collect semicinctus or spinus actually. both are not too deep but are very isolated. so the only problem in collection is finding a source. if he's rich enough and if he likes it alot he will get someone to catch for him. the others some are too deep, although location is very near. so that can be a problem. far location shallow water is still easier than accessible location but deep water. don't you think? i dunno.
  3. these are dead specimens on display at the bishop museum. to be honest, they look so nice even though they are dead!
  4. chingchai looking for rare angels. i've poisoned him with debelius hotumatua semicinctus spinus nahackyi semifasciatus lets see which of the above he likes and which one he will get. he has the neck and $$ for getting rare fishes so i'm not surprised if he lands any one of those. except semifasciatus which is just semi-rare.
  5. the rusty flame and eukrines worth getting. the trigger....ehhhh. lol.
  6. i thought so too. anyway to threadstarter, if it is indeed a moorish idol, then don't count on it surviving. if it refuse pellets and brine shrimp it will most likely refuse anything else. try frozen mysis or live brine for starters and give it some algae to eat. this fish is very difficult and very hard to feed.
  7. here's a video for those who miss it. thanks CFOH for the video.
  8. they are all feeding very well on cyclopeeze. they should do fine but these fishes are very fragile. alot dont take shipping well and they lose weight very easily. the trick to keeping them is having more. the more you have the better their chances. also, high flow is important. from what i read on RC and elsewhere, they prefer high flow and can tolerate it pretty well. mine likes hovering infront of the tunze. constant feeding and initially, frequent feeding is important to regain their weight loss during shipping. after that, they should be bullet prove and can be fed once or twice a day like normal cardinals. they take any foods once settled down. the important part is get them fat first. HUFA foods like cyclopeeze is very useful. once they survive all that, they are very hardy and bullet proof like other cardinals. there's a video of an australian reef tank with about 50 of them. gorgeous i tell you. problem is i hope my other fish wont eat them lol. my liopropoma seems to fancy them alot but being a basslet, it does not venture out during the day when the MH is on, but prefer to swim around the safety of the rocks. very nice to see it weave in and out of the rocks. but come night time when the lights are dim, it starts hunting. too dark it goes to sleep. the crucial timing is when the lights outside is very very dim. so as long as i don't turn on my living room lights when my tank lights are all off at night, they should be safe.
  9. my small half moon died despite feeding. that's how difficult they are. my other one is still healthy and feeding on mysis but it's quite big. around 3 inch. you sure you want? even if you want i also won't feel right trading it with you. halfmoon is such a fragile fish and can just die for any reason! i rather buy the clown off you.
  10. yours?!? omg! so cute! SELL ME HAHA! anyway it's a very aberrant morph of either a false or true perc. too small to tell wether its true or false perc but then again i might not know how to diff them at this stage.
  11. can't believe all these gorgeous rare fish in liveaquria's DD is still unsold! and all on massive discount now! Liopropoma eukrines Lotilia graciliosa Elacatinus louisae Centropyge ferrugata X Centropyge loricula Apolemichthys trimaculatus X Apolemichthys xanthurus. Pair of Liopropoma carmabi
  12. dont like flame cardinals haha. grow too big.
  13. here's a very old picture of my chrysopomus. maybe i will start hunting for them again! got them at reborn last time.
  14. i keep before. A. chrysopomus and A. sealei look very similar and kept both before. only diff is the cheek. these are very uncommon and will need time to find. but exceptionally hardy and i've had them spawn in my tank before. see how it goes with my parvulus first. if they all die then i'll keep chrysopomus. my liopropoma multilineatum just lunged into the group and tried to eat one! gosh.... dunno how long they will last -.-
  15. that's what my mom said. according to her, all of my "ikan bilis" can amount to her an endless supply of the real ikan bilis.
  16. hope they can make it. notoriously difficult.
  17. one of the best schooling fishes. extremely small at only 1 inch. but difficult to keep. hope they all last
  18. bali soft coral around 1pm no more rubrizonatus aka tricolor anthias. tomorrow should replenish.
