  1. i can never differentiate the clowns. i can diff all the wrasses all the angels all the butterflies but not clowns! tomorrow i will sit down and learn!
  2. no one will know its a conspic x meredithi hybrid. not many ppl know wat a meredithi angel is and the hybrid looks too conspic like with not much other details. so ppl will just say it's a pure conspic that looks a bit funny. point of the story, it's a v v ugly and unpopular hybrid that even i show no interest and dun know much about. but it's certainly v v rare and any angel or rare fish collector worth their salt will consider getting it.
  3. SO many!? sailfin anthias is v v nice and many times we almost obtained it via iwarna's philippine shipments but it slipped tru our hans. meredithi and conspic hybrid is a near legend! but ugly fish. omg v v rare to get bandits this size and two summore! obtainaning both will be a stunning duo! obtainable. we will get it next year.
  4. yup. Chaetodon striatus and Chaetodon capistratus came before. the capistratus v v small about 1.5 - 2 inch. got big one also about 3-4 inch. striatus medium size 3 inch.
  5. anyone been to jireh? do they have Thalassoma quinquevittatum as listed in their stocklist? this is T. quinquevittatum.
  6. aiyo digiman your photo taking skills cannot show case the true beauty of your rare fish. next time i go your house help you. even though i don't have a DSLR, i think can help you take some decent pics. your rosae dottyback is very rare and must showcase the brilliant pink body and yellow head properly. tapeinosoma dottyback is even rarer and must showcase the beautiful elegant body with metallic blue sheen. not the mention the ultra rare unidentified terelabrus from maldives which has a white and red candy cane colour. perfect for christmas. and your very exquisite pair of johnson's fairy wrasse! very rare and endemic to kwajalein atoll (Marshall islands). this one need to photograph in it's pure glory. thiellei clownfish! so cute and rare.
  7. Pseudochromis tapeinosoma is a very very rare dottyback that even google cannot provide pictures for you. fishbase has a dead photo specimen. if you type the scientific name in google, you will come across a chinese website. inside there have a decent pic of it.
  8. Chaetodon striatus? reborn came in 2 times in their last carribean shipment mah. very nice.
  9. hahahax. wan to trade for your rare fish? kekeke just kidding. now with the death of my marginalis, the rarest fishes in my tank is the roseafascia fairy and kwaZulu fairy... i need to up my rare fish game liao! nvm. i will come back soon.
  10. well fret not, griffis angel is very uncommon because it's very unpopular. but they will show up occasionally from hawaii shipments. if you really like it, you can request it from steven at LCK. the fremblii that arrived today came in at more than 4 inches. butterflies do best when acquired at medium size of 2-3 inches. the big quadrimaculatus butterfly at LCK is also very nice but also bigger than 4 inches. it will be perfect for a FOWLR tank! here's a pic of quadrimaculatus.
  11. apogon nitidus looks like a very rare and pretty version of blue eye cardinal. surprised it's not in the same genus (Zoramia)
  12. its just one big branch with very small arms. i try to find a nice place to cut for you.
  13. thanks! this one also very hard to obtain coz got competition. it's getting common now thanks to fiji and tonga shipments. long ago it was very rare and when i show this picture to one of the reefers here, he told me it was plastic corals. it does kinda look like plastic flowers though. haha. SPS mah! small polyped soft coral. hehehe.
  14. for some reason this hammer coral is very very popular. it seems that everything i keep tries to host in it. and my skunk clown is fighting day and night over it with my ocellaris.
  15. neon green nehpthea from top view. this one was gotten from some mystery reefer who left his or her frags at iwarna to sell. was at the right place and the right time i guess.
  16. this yellow Sarcophyton elegans was so hard to obtain.... but the yellow is hard to capture in photograph. oh well
  17. green with white skirting pipe organs. with time, the polyps should expand bigger.
  18. green pipe organs from tonga. this one has a bright yellow mouth but i cannot capture it. oh well
  19. I found all from a Japanese blog so I assume from japan waters. Vvvvvv rare and nice
  20. Griffis angel is usually considered the ugly duckling of the Apolemichthys angels. But this one is gorgeous!! Nicest griffis I've seen. Small griffis are v v rare and 1 to 2 inch ones are near impossible to get. John coppolino has a juvenile one but they mostly come in 3 to 5 inches. LCK one slightly below 4 inch
