  1. NPS is definitely harder. for this much feeding, the nutrients must be very low! which is super difficult to achieve. SPS is different. no need to feed. so easy to keep nutrients low.
  2. able to get me my eight line flasher, attenuatus flasher and other fishes i've emailed you from the first time? just got back from china not too long ago. time to re-start the collection again
  3. This is not C. parasema. It's the newly described species, the Arnazae damselfish (Chrysiptera arnazae) price is the same and equally expensive. difference in colouration between the two species is subtle
  4. ahhh yah. ceraphilus. NICE! i like. it's like the sixbar or koran of the damsels. ugly body with blue spots.
  5. irritating. the fairly new damsel from brunei is nice. featured on reefbuilders not too long ago. pomacentrus something.
  6. this one looks abit like a centropyge almost! the ventral fins are long and have the filament that many centropyge angels possess.
  7. a possible maroon clown hybrid. my friend said this one had no spines on both sides of the cheeks, a trait that only maroon clowns possess. but the photo is too blurry. perhaps the spines broke off.
  8. juvenile Chromis amboinensis. the juvs are nice with long tails. but the adults are ugly!
  9. C. arnazae is not a v new sp, but relatively new. v aggressive. traceyi damsel? u sure? i'll confirm the identity of the fish when i see it. the only way to get that now is through hawaii shipments where marshall island fishes are imported from.
  10. this is ridiculous!' the pure flavocoronatus is gorgeous!!!! the hybrid is very tinkeri.
  11. SPS death count - 3. those thast survive, growth by about 20-30%!

  12. the NICEST potteri x fisher ever. this is the 4th one so far? this one has alot of potter's blood. v amazing how the potteri and fisheri from two very different complexes can hybridise.
  13. ah. mesoleucos butterflies and intermedius bannerfishes from the red sea.
  14. 2 more days till i get back. My SPS are all very healthy and growing but the tank is infested with red slime! tons of work to do when i get back

  15. these are the spotcinctus pearl eye clarkii. picasso the bars are irregular.
  16. here's my take on the keyrings. the keyrings are made of soft plastic (you can see from the pics) that can be cut open and released when you buy them... it's just a mode of transport from the shop to your fishtank at home. it's not a permanent housing containment. the chinese people are idiots, but they are not that idiotic... the keyring concept just makes it more appealing to buy, compared to a fish in a normal plastic bag. the tatooed fish on the other hand, is ridiculous. as with everything, there's 2 sides. and i believe the keyring thing is not made for a keyring per se, but just an advertising gimmick to sell the fish. the tatooed freshwater parrotfishes on the other hand, i dislike. alot.
  17. only 5 more days till i end my 6 week china ITP and get back to Singapore. i can't wait! :)

Serving ITP in China is pretty awesome. At least you get to travel and learn more things as compared to staying in Singapore.

  18. the purple and yellow tip seafan is awesome. the "springeri damsel" is freaking gorgeous! i'm super jealous!!
  19. zeus faber eww? i think it's quite cute! and the fish and chips dory fillet come from this fish if i'm not wrong. delicious. monkfish my wet market downstairs sell live ones. but i dunno how to eat it..?
  20. Elacatinus figaro is still banned. these are captive bred specimens from ORA. they do appear time to time from ORA shipments. but not as commonly as the other 2 species.
