  3. Hi, i have a 3 feet tank, and im considering getting a tunze wavemaker. As my tank isnt very big, i was thinking of getting the tunze 6025 wave maker, suited for 40-200L, or the tunze 6045, for 100-500L. Please advice? Intending to get from aquamarin. Please advice and share your knowledge with me, as i am new. thank you =)
  4. How to remove damselfish from my tank without tearing the rockwork? I have tried EVERYTHING!. My damsel is alright, although it does occasionally disturb my gramma. Also, was thinking if i remove the damsel, i could add another fish so as not to over crowd. I have tried the mirror trick, the bottle trap, the hook trick, everything!!! But this damsel is too smart. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. i really do not want to tear down my rockwork. to stressing for my fish, and i really like my current scaping. ty
  5. I know. My mandarin doesnt eat frozen food, doesnt eat anything i feed! But it has been surviving for the past 2 months.... dunno eating what. There were many copepods in my tank, now like no more. Somehow, the mandarin is surviving, i have no idea what. Perhaps on frozen food? but i have never seen it eating, maybe eat behind the scenes. Hope it survives... 2 months and still very fat.
  6. I would love to have a golden butterfly. chaetodonts and pomacanthus are my favourite species of marine fishes. Unfortunately, i have some corals in my tank, and thus cannot keep any butterflies or angels. Not reef safe =( How much did u buy the semilarvatus anyway? very interested to know the pricing.
  7. where did u get ur chaetodon semilarvatus!? (golden butterfly). Its very rare, endemic to the red sea and gulf of aden. where did u buy it from?

  11. Hello all! I'm quite new to this forum and this hobby, so i wanted to show you guys my 3 ft tank. Constructive critisism is welcomed. My tank is a 3 feet tank, set up for about 2 months now. Over flow system with sump. Tank inhabitants : 1x royal gramma, 1x yellow tail damsel, 1x niger trigger, 1x yellow wrasse, 2x false perc, 2x cleaner shrimp, 2x banggai cardinal, 1x yellow boxer shrimp, 1x mandarin dragonet, 5x turbo snails, 4x hermit crabs. Corals : 1x goniopora, 1x clove, 1x blueberry gorgonian (sea fan), 2x mushy and here are some foto!
  12. Hey sorry, i apologise if i post in wrong forum, i have no idea if gorgonian (sea fan) is a SPS or what.. so hopefully, someone here can help me out. I purchased a blueberry gorgonian from Iwarana today, very nice and beautiful. But when i got home, i read on the internet that it is VERY VERY difficult to maintain and it usually dies in captive environment. It cost me $15, but money is not an issue, i just want to make sure i can, if possible, provide the best care i can to help this gorgonian survive. My question is, has anyone here have any experience in this blueberry gorgonian? It is non-photosynthetic and thus regular feeding is needed. I am currently feeding it with prawn juice (home made. just squeeze prawn in water), and henry's reef formula. Is it getting enough to eat? I am feeding it two times daily. the polyps open beautifully and i can't bear to see it waste away. Anyone with experience please advice. If i had known this was such a difficult sea fan to maintain, i would have not gotten it. Blame it on my ignorance This is a picture of what it looks like. Mine is slightly smaller and is placed on live rock. I took this picture from google
