I have heard of harlequin shrimps eating frozen food. But 99% Do not accept frozen foods. Even if they do, it might not contain the neccesary nutrients found in starfishes to sustain it for long periods of time. almost all of them feed ONLY EXCLUSIVELY on starfishes. Haiz, i really want that pair, But like cruel leh, to sacrifice starfish.

Make sure it is the rock it live in 100% confirm. Sometimes at night it wander off and look for new rock to live in. Last time i saw my mantis shrimp go inside the hole, i faster take it out immediately and soak the whole rock in a pail of freshwater. It came out of the hole and i faster took out the liverock to prevent anymore die off.

I confirm have one pistol shrimp inside my tank. Since day one till now, grow i think now about 4 inches. But the rest i can confirm is mantis shrimp. I saw glimpses of it before, those ugly stalk eyes poking out. I think i have about 3. Confirm is not pistol shrimp. Sometimes can see my snail and hermit crab kena attack by those. Like they stand at the mantis hole there, then kena knock knock knock. Saw before and recognise the sound.. The pistol shrimp in my tank wild one. And so far no problems from it. It hides under a rock at the front of my tank. Have a goby that i bought from LFS, pair with it naturally. Only problem is the shrimp ugly lol. So confirm those knocking sound is those damn mantis.... Last time catch one already, tot no more.

Hey everybody! Recently saw a few very nice pairs of harlequin shrimp at henry's. Over the past few days have been doing plenty of research, and considering the cost of the shrimp, and starfish. They are obligate feeders, feeding on starfish only, maybe certain urchins. Just want to know if anyone have any experience keeping them? Have any tips to offer? If i ultimately get them, i will feed them starfish once every 2-3 weeks, depending on how much they eat. I don't mind going to LFS to buy starfish every few weeks to suppliment this beautiful creature. Maybe will get those cheap and lowly chocolate chip stars, or maybe lickias. Anyone with experience can please share with me? Thank you. All help appreciated. If i do get one, i will post a picture, and will take my best to care for these splendid creatures. Currently my favourite invert now.

my yellow wrasse since day one until now, never eat any pests in my tank. Still have like 20+ crabs, bristleworms etc etc. I think its individual yellow wrasses. Mine just doesn't eat those crabs. I even borrowed a niger trigger to solve the crab problem. NO USE. nothing will eat my crabs!

Not too long ago i posted a topic about a minor tank crash. I am happy to announce that evrything is going well and improving! I bought some microbacteria from henry to establish my biological system. My fishes now all seem healthier after the water change, i bought some new liverocks to rescape and everything looks good now! Im so happy for continuing and thanks for everyone for encouraging me =) will post some pictures next time if possible.

Just do well in whatever CCA ur in, and participate in everything they ask to to you. Being a high ranking member is also an advantage. Doesnt mean u in those good ccas like Band and soccer = high points. I join art club, so slack, but my cca points win those people in band. Because im vice president and i participate in alot of competition. Also, if you have 2 cca better. can accumulate points.
