bannerfish is a butterfly fish haha! Hmm... i can reccomend some quite hardy and BEAUTIFUL butterflies. Last time use to own a FOWLR butterfly only tank. - milletseed butterfly aka lemon butterfly or citrus butterfly - copperband (buy a already feeding one) - golden butterfly, aka semilarvatus or red sea butterfly - threadfin butterfly aka auriga butterfly (perhaps the MOST hardy) - racoon butterfly (very hardy also) and my favourite, the pearlscale butterfly (chaetodon xanthurus) Very nice and hardy specimen! Hope i have been helpful =)

sodium + ascorbic acid = sodium ascorbate + hydrogen gas =) haha. just some.... nvm

snails are good. but get super annoying after awhile -.- crawl all over my corals...

i tot montipora are those flat flat plate plate thing? O.O thats montipora capricornis... i dunno about urs.

Never go sealife before haha. so never see falcula! Though i always pass by, never occured to go in lol. BTW, i am VERY impressed with ur FOWLR. i can't keep any other angel in my tank because of my dominant coral beauty.... will TEAR everything up. No matter what i do. i tried rearranging rockwork, catching both angels out an re-intro, letting my coral beauty get used to the new fish for a few days, nothing works with my coral beauty =( Hiaz.... it nearly killed my bicolour angel. Now the bicolour inside my sump tank, recovering. so sad leh. stupid coral beauty =.=

hey. just a noob question. When changing water using NSW, must i like... check the SG with the tank water and the NSW and alter? or just dump inside my tank? coz i always use salt mix... never use nsw b4

filefish not reefsafe? haiz.. stupid aiptasia T.T i think i use scissors and cut it.... make it smaller than let my peppermint eat. doesnt matter if it reproduce.... at least it will be smaller

haha! i got 3 from fuel and 2 from LCK. all still alive as i have seen them all. But only at night.... Anyway, so far my aiptasia all still around... But my aiptasia quite big. around 1 inch when open....

I have 5 peppermint shrimps, 3 small ones and 2 big ones. But NONE of them seem to be eating my aiptasia. The small ones i think too small to eat yet. but my big big one, never even touch them. Why T.T i hear peppermints 50/50 chance, but i got 5 leh. dun tell me i so suay LOL. Are peppermint shrimps very shy creatures? I seldom see them at all. Like one week see like 2-3 times only... Most of the time see them at night. My aiptasia, spreading like a disease and still not being controlled. =( I dun wanna get a copperband because my tank now quite full liao. And am trying to not use chemical means, only as a last resort....

have a pair of banggai cardinals. Male's mouth is constantly packed with eggs..... everyday got eggs.. But i never see any young being released. Maybe kena eaten.... But very hard to catch them... swim inside rock... haiz

yea i forgot about the ji reh thing -.- Marine life opened at 5 today. Henry was busy too bad, otherwise i can go visit his shop haha

BTW, when liverock absorb copper, ur copper ppm in the water will drop. so best dun put any calcium based rocks inside

live rock and all calcium based compounds will absorb copper. If u want the copper in ur QT, dun put live rock. Becareful if ur liverock absorb the copper, it would become unsuitable to use already. Calcium based compunds include aragonite, live rock, live sand, limestone and shells. amongst many other things. Best to treat copper in a bare tank.

do take into consideration that when u turn off ur pump, water will back flow into ur sump. so do allow some room in the sump for increase in water. =)
