  1. interested in ur mushroom. can i know where to collect? if its not too far away.
  2. who is mr razali? is he a fellow reefer?
  3. the one reddevil post, the ###### fin? pelvic fin? dunno....black ones. very cute. like hands
  4. yea. from the fish website, fishbase, it say the range is very wide, but within each area, its quite uncommon. means have big range, but each range very sparse. yep they are the bigger butterflies. very impressed with the blue forehead and the nice filament trailing the dorsal fin (: this is quite unusual in butterflies if im not wrong? i know saddleback, semeion, threadfin and certain others have this too. hope this fish becomes more common in our LFS. its not even that rare. stop catching those rare fishes and catch common and pretty ones like this! (:
  5. i have heard of hungry cleaner shrimps eating corals, but this is not likely. very rare case. HOWEVER, i have heard of camel shrimps, peppermint shrimps and coral banded shrimps disturbing and eating corals. these are some of the less reef safe ones. although the probability of shrimps eating corals are rare, it is not entirely non existant. isit u never feed ur shrimp? feed it more lor. make it full
  6. bought a huge 8" elegance, 2 rocks of mushies (red and melon), and some blue mush frags FOC from a nice reefer! pics tomorrow
  7. thanks for the elegance and the various mushies ^^ very healthy livestock and very nice person too! thumbs up and bump for u. now my mushy corner got nice mushies le hehe
  8. thanks digiman! u really know where to dig up all these nice fish ahha
  9. remember those blueish indo ones i got from sealife? for $30. after awhile started to stop opening. at first i tot nudi. i wash in RO water and found 1 nudi. but then slowly after few days develop white dots. and den all stop opening for good.
  10. my blue zoo also tio zoa pox. tried my best to save it but.... throw almost all away coz they died, and now left one small little frag of 3 polyp...
  11. if ur lucky, even coral banded shrimp will occasioanlly clean fish. if ur unlucky, ur CBS will kill small fishes. have seen one literally catch and kill a small chromis before
  12. hmm..us zoos same as indo zoos. if thats the case, then all those "US" indo zoos i buy only do well. coincidence perhaps
  13. haha. now bloated and as fat as a whale. dun wan take fotos la. unless u wan to see a white spot covered MI, then i dun mind. other than that, feeding on anything i throw into the tank. hard to believe right? but its true! can come and see for urself if u dun believe. just hope it can recover from the ich itself, and gain some immunity, or at most, be strong enuf to resist the ich. so far all my fish immune liaoz. dun even have any spots or scratching or what not. dun wan to treat the MI now. wait add more stress in the end, stop eating and die.
  14. carribean shipment, the lady told me end of feb/march. dunno how true is this. royal gramma coming in.
  15. yes closed on tuesday. yes small lysmata shrimps are better cleaners. i bought mine when it was only 1.5 inches. very hardworking and consistantly clean my fish. after only a few months, it grow twice the size. now it is 2.8 inches..nearly 3 inches. every 2 weeks i see it moult.. now its fat, lazy and reliant on feeding -.- never go hunt for food around the tank liao unless it is super hungry. and seldom clean my fish also....useless when big. lolz the smaller one grew faster than my bigger one. now both are same size. i think they try to grow faster and same size so can mate. now both of them everyday pregnant. release baby shrimps. tomorrow preggy again very fun to see. free fish and coral food. very nutritious also
  16. Anyone seen this beauty around? i know ahbeng ever bring in once. This is an uncommon fish in the wild and ahbeng ever bring in once before. dun confuse it with other similar looking bf fishes...the semeion has an unmistakable blue forehead. its beautiful and exquisite. just look at the gorgeous blue forehead! chaetodon semeion, the semeion or dotted butterflyfish. it does look ABIT like bennet's, mirror and lattice butterfly. but the remarkable neon blue forehead is a giveaway (: adult speciments have a filament trailing from the dorsal fin too. very nice. actually, there are many MANY more beautiful fish in the sea that we dont even get to see in LFS. most of them are not even rare! some are extremely prevalent and common, just that the demand is low and thus, these fishes are not able to make it to our shore (: its a shame that some beautiful and COMMON fish are not exported, while those rare and endangered ones are. keep a look out for the semeion butterfly (:
  17. mine feeds on everything. flake also XD but now got ich. hoping it recovers my MI like to peck at my candycane coral.. i just let him bah. afterall, its not doing much damage to it.
  18. dun hav sorry. u can ask reefers here if they know, or look it up on the net.
  19. depends on the kind of algae. usually yes. good algae eaters. they wun eat those hard hard stuck to the glass one though. that one snail better.
  20. reborn had some on saturday. im not sure if have any left. call first and ask
  21. it is algae. i have some also. but mine one small patch i just leave it be haha. lazy to remove. u can siphon it out, first to prevent it from spreading. long term solution is to reduce ur no3 and po4. feed less, change more water.
  22. very nice mushroom. can i reserve it?
  23. i have no patience to let the water rest for more than a day. i mix liao, use hand to stir and immediately use it for my tank. for 3 months i have been doing this....guess i have been dodging bullets >.< anyway, when i change watr i dun change alot...only one big pail. so i guess not so serious. but nowadays i just buy water from iwarna. save trouble of mixing salt and more convinient.... next time i will nt do that again...i also notice freshly mixed saltwater got that very caustic smell like very chemical
