  1. sounds like amyloodinium or velvet. very highly contagious and a faster killer. if it is indeed amyloodinium, remove all fish affected or not and treat and quarantine.
  2. call ghostbusters? XD jk. ok la...tank looking stable. if tomorrow its still alive (pray pray), ill go buy carbon and do more water change (:
  3. Hello. selling this 2ft-ish PL lights. should be around 2ft. im not very sure. i threw the box away =\ bought this three days ago for my refuge. but after my ulva went asexual, i hav no use for it. condition 9.5/10, just got it 3 days ago. no scratches nothing. Bought it at $48, selling for $40. there are 2 bulbs, each 18W. Very good for refugiums if anyone is looking for lights. there are 2 switchs to control each bulb. here are some pictures. sms me 97555430, i reserve the right to sell to whoever i want. no pilots please thank you. prefer to sell to forum members, instead of lurkers. pics
  4. kueytoc. CF has the blue ring sea hare. black with neon blue rings. like a blue ring octopus, but its a seahare.
  5. jiayou. hope to see ur new tank soon. i found a 5cm mantis hiding in my sump today -.-
  6. no specific fish that do that, but my coral beauty and moorish idol occasionally eat fish poo and coral poo. especially my coral beauty.
  7. no worries ming! haha! actually it was a blesing in disguise. becoz of that i went to clean my sump spick and span and found my leopard wrasse in my piping, and found a big mantis shrimp in my sump. already did a water change. i think my ulva went asexual coz not enuf flow and irregular lighting periods. thanks for the well wishes (: i also hope that when i wake up tomorrow, my tank is back to normal (: good wishes to ur new tank too XD
  8. did 30% water change, removed all my bioring, balls and change filter wool. hope everything turns out for the best. fish now very stress coz of the asexual ulva. some of them have ich ): even my MI! hope it pulls tru. what a bummber. the ulva has caused me more stress and hav done more bad than good ): had to buy a new light for it, get egg crate to separate it, and in the end it nearly crashed (ok too early to tell) my tank, and got all my fish sick! i would still like to thank sisming for being so kind and generous to giv me those ulva. i have not been able to take care of it properly lol. (:
  9. very scary actually watching the ulva go asexual right infront of ur eyes. came home from work and turned on my refuge lights and saw them releasing green cloudy stuff. immediately removed them all before it got any worse...
  10. my ulva just went asexual and now my tank is cloudy i removed them just in time while they were still green...so not much of my tank has beena ffected. the display is now cloudy though...and i ran out of salt for water change ): will drop by AM after dinner...hopefully it will be still open... if my tank crash i think im going to decom -.- too much for me to handle in too little time now with school starting soon. haiz. fingers crossed..
  11. always envy those who dare to keep big angels in reef tank. i got no guts
  12. ya difficult fish to keep. all i know is the the diet very hard to replicate. but im no texpert. let those angel pros chip in info on this XD
  13. have a pair of teriminally retarded clownfishes. provide them with 3 torch corals, 3 hammer corals, 1 forgspawn, 1 elegance, i practically run the gamut of "long tentacled" corals for my clowns and they don't even host anything ): some ppl clown host powerheads and what not...mine just swims against the current. lol. so wanted to see them play in corals but oh well...
  14. yellow wrasse also. but again, hit and miss. mine doesnt eat any pests and is quite lazy haha! but they are nice fishes. can get abit aggressive too.
  15. 16 is extremely high. please do a water change now. i think i read somewhere before that KH should not hit 16 otherwise the corals can "explode" or something like that.
  16. no updates on iwarna's hawiaii shipment? isit postponed again?
  17. six lines are known to eat nudis. but it is a hit and miss thing...and i dun think it is effective in controlling it.
  18. first u must identify what kind of nudis they are. nudis are obligate eaters. meaning the eat only one thing. the most common nudi is of coz, those on zoos. however, there are other kinds of nudis that eat other corals too. so u must find out which coral ur nudi is coming from...if u suspect it is ur zoa, u can remove them and dip them in lugols. make sure u remove all eggs too.
  19. haha i never see that male one before....will keep a look out for it.
  20. fuel is this ur fish? http://www.marinecenter.com/fish/boxfishes...spottedboxfish/ i think i saw the female one in coral farm. i saw a black boxfish with alot of white spots..
