  1. oh haha! redstar u should go i wanna get a small elegance for my friend too. dunno if i should go there.
  2. lots of small yellow tangs. got small, but i dont think 50 cent so small. slightly bigger.
  3. iwarna left a few barletts only. (manage to get one phew!) no more bandit. left only lemopnpeel angel, flame angel, yellow tangs.
  4. yah very suay leh..=( maybe later going to pasir ris check out again..
  5. din manage to see the clown gobies at ahbeng anyone spotted YELLOW CLOWN GOBIES? thanks!
  6. no worries. its just pooping means its healthy and its feeding well. could also contain some zooxanthellae. but no worries.
  7. either they keep hiding in the sand, or they jump out. thats if got bullies in the tank.. mine keeps getting bullied by my yellow wrasse.
  8. unfortunately raccoon butterflies are not reefsafe. raccoon and threadfin butterflies loove aiptasia its true. but they love your corals too
  9. i have had success with copperbands too. my coral beauty does pick on the occasional aiptasia...but not enough to consider it an aiptasia killer. i think the best solutions are to rid it off naturally. - high nutrient will cause it to grow faster - peppermints, copperbands and seagrass filfefish are natural predators. - finally if all else fails, i will use chemicals. but in ur case...they don't work. so maybe u wanna try the filefish as bro rockyboy suggested?
  10. the only thing tricky about leopard wrasses in my opinion, is getting them to feed. and also they are quite shy. i have had 2 leopard wrasses before. the first one was feeding very well but got killed by my yellow wrasse. it got so scared it just hid in a corner and died. =( the second one was feeding very well but died because jump out. since then i did not keep anymore.. getting them to feed shoulndt be too hard. they take mysis pretty quickly. just try and maybe he will eat. the sad thing for me is that my yellow wrasse keeps killing them. so i stopped... make sure no fish chase it coz they are fantastic jumpers
  11. its not from reefers only. i think urs is a coincidence that all reefers send u. i have received 10 of this within a week. u open it u get a serious virus problem. i did and had to send my com for service its spreading within my frens too. just beware of it.
  12. omg thank goodness you bought them!! i was so scared someone buy them then cannot take care
  13. i suck the mysis with a syringe and then squirt the mysis on the blastos. when fully expended, the mysis should stick to the blastos and they will eat it. problem is, sometimes shrimp and fish will go and steal food. so u have to find a way to make sure that doesnt happen
  14. coral farm have a few flame angels. around 2-3 inches. i think 3 feet tank might be a stretch in adding the two tangs. u might want to try... provided u add them simultaneously. maybe some other more experienced tang keepers can advice?
  15. i have a yellow wrasse that does nothing in terms of nudi and flatworm control. i think important thing is buying a very small juvenile specimen. i bought mine when it is quite big, so maybe it has become lazy. to kuay5, there is another species of wrasse, belonging to same family as yellow wrasse (halichoeres), but differ by having a white belly. this one is less common than the normal yellow wrasse. wether or not its as good a nudi hunter as a normal yellow wrasse, im not sure. so its better to just stick with the cliche yellow wrasse i suppose..
  16. depends on what normal coral food is. anythign smaller than mysis or brine shrimp is almost useless to blastos blastos have feeder tentacles and appreciate bigger foods like mysis. i have 10 blastos in my tank, i feed all of them with mysis once a week. so far none of them melted. also i think it is important in choosing specimens. if those specimen have exposed skeleton, chances of them melting are very high. quite difficult to spot healthy specimens because at the LFS, when they are fully expended, its hard to see the skeleton below. but with good water quality and feeding, they will recover very quickly. HTH *edit. i have experience this sudden melting in blastos before. i'm unsure why also. one speculation is because when blastos are deflated, their sharp skeleton will be easily exposed and seen. if never handle properly, maybe too much of the deflated blasto flesh can be hurt by the sharp skeleton. this will mean it is harder to heal and chances of melting is higher
  17. ya that area flow abit strong. i shifted it already.
  18. i dunno whats wrong with my clown. i have a pair, which i have kept for 1 year. one day it just decided to kill its mate. now left him or her alone. i wanna remove it and get a new pair. this guy very destructive..
  19. my clown is super aggressive. will bite me, ram me, nudge me and swish me when i go near his xenia, elegance, or just for nothing.
