  1. thanks! i'll try that. there is no valve there. the only valve is the air valve.
  2. there is no valve. however i notice that its quite okay to leave it at default setting. because i notice the foam level rises pretty fast into the collection cup. maybe its a good thing afterall. but im curious, if the skimmer produces dry skim because of the water level, then do i have to get a valve?
  3. Hi, i just got this new deltec APF600 to replace my spoilt one. i have a question tho, pardon my noobness since i have never used this brand before. how do i adjust the water level in the skimmer? i have tried placing my hand over the water outflow and it seems that the less water flow out, the higher the water inside rise. now i just need to know how to control this as and when i like. do i have to get a valve or something? the transparent pipe with the grey 90 degree elbow is where the water flows out. i need to know how to control that...

  13. bro you are the first person i see who made this observation and i am impressed. why do you think these people purposely do things like this? its for attention i suppose. look at paris hilton. i don't think she is dumb. she just acts dumb to get so much fame. she has a sister and no one knows who she is. but why is paris so famous?

  16. that is a chocolate chip starfish by your description. they are not reef safe and will consume corals for your info. how big is your blue tang? your livestock all seem compatible with your starfish. check you nitrate levels. starfishes don't like exceedingly high NO3 levels and will start dropping arms if that happens. either that, or maybe its a crab feasting on your starfish at night
  17. starfish don't like water with too high nitrates. that being said for most inverts. make sure no big triggers or big wrasses are present because some are known to eat them. including puffers. feeding wise, most feed on detrisus and bacteria film, abit of algae. those with "horns" i.e the knobby kinds, will consume corals. starfishes if fast enough may consume uneaten food lying around too. brittle stars are detrivours. as said with starfishes, too high nitrates will cause them to drop legs and bristles. they do not require supplemental feeding. they eat uneaten food that lie around. if u have a brittlestar big enough, (like mine. easily 8inches across), they can extend their arm in the water current and catch floating pieces of food such as mysis and pellets.
