  1. pure ignorance. please read up in future. its a bristle worm. they are good scavengers and do not harm fishes unless dead or dying. if you dislike, remove it and give me. don't kill it.
  2. never. too much work to go into SPS. simply dont have time and motivation to do it lol. i just like looking at these wonderful tanks.... colourful. but i'm thinking....with a tank like THAT, can keep a huge harem of wrasse lol.
  3. check it out. utterly speechless http://reefkeeping.com/joomla/index.php/cu...nk-of-the-month
  4. i wont mind buying the parent colony at $25. but what excuse to give you parents? just say you decided to sell it?
  5. have a fat pellet eating mandarin and a leaopard wrasse in my tank. not many amphipods seen as these guys controls all pods. but do amphipods eat zoas..?
  6. big shipment at CF this coming friday. carribean shipment, indo and phillipines if all go smoothly. 3 shipments so big meh? hehe... its CF man. everything is upsize previous carribean shipments boasts of large sized neon gobies, so expect these. royal gramma, pearly jawfish etc. the usual carribean suspects. shipment will be arriving on friday, but will only be released on sunday, as aunty will be away on saturday.
  7. wah. no lah. i'm a relatively new comer in the wrasse scene, plenty of other experts here too thomas_lim is one of them haha. no problem in mixing fairy wrasses. lubbock and solar are quite okay, not very aggressive IME. agree with some of the bros here on mirror and betta box. betta box is a very important tool. release them after a few days at night/evening. let them get used to the surroundings and when they wake up in the morning, there will be less fighting. rather then release them in the day and the other wrasse see liao, go wack. do take note that some fairys are more aggressive than others....but lubbock is rather peaceful and mild.
  8. the colours didnt change within a day. colours don't change within a day... its because of the lighting in LFS , plus see top down from the LFS. its alot of difference when u put in ur tank, use ur light and see tru the glass.
  9. ah..a josephian. how nice. lasallian brother school. was from st.patrick's secondary. lots of fun times with josephians too. but most consider us "sworn enemies" rofl. bro personally, $10 is very pricey for this zoa at that size... this zoanthid is very very common and easy found everywhere.. most people give it away for free if its the size of your small frag. just my opinion.
  10. i personally love worms. great scavangers. think its abit unfair to say that all here hates worms. i certainly do
  11. the one at CF was small but had a suspicious patch on the side.... will hunt for a smaller healthier one!
  12. wah just tooked a good look at looks like alot of fish ._. good thing most are small....otherwise tank will look very cluttered. haven come to that stage yet :X waiting for vanuatu shipment.....won't be getting them anytime soon, so play flashers in the meantime lol
  13. sure! all add up less than 30, but still... quite alot rofl. male filamented flasher X1 harem of females, X5 each carpenter's male X1 mccosker male X1 flavianalis male X1 royal gramma X1 yellow wrasse x1 rhomboid wrasse x1 royal pencil wrasse x1 flame angel x1 flame hawk x1 mandarin x1 blue eye anthias female x1 solar wrasse x1 and for the virtually bioloadless 1.5cm clown goby x1 fullmoon goby x1 1 inch allen's damsel 3x apogon cyanosoma cardinals. neon goby x1 fishes that have been removed/died/MIA copperband died due to internal parasites/poor handling. never gained any weight, slowly wither away despite feeding well. peppermint hog - to sell 3x banggai - MIA 1 by 1. too small perhaps.. this weekend feel like trapping the anthias and the 3 remaining cardinals.
  14. not say common, but can be better! its normal lah. i have tried to keep flashers for many times and always MIA. haha. this time im lucky though. a more upclass, nicer and 10X FASTER!!! fighting fish

  16. well that's what they say, but saw a huge gigantic leather coral, maybe 1 feet? in a well known SPS reefer's tank, and his SPS are growing like no tomorrow. maybe if the slime from the leather does not touch the sps its ok? well......no problems so i did not really bother
  17. welcome to the leather club! now don't buy those common ones anymore! get those super ultra green ones go open eyes big big and hunt
  18. looks like a majano. pest anemone. niceyuma!
  19. you're welcome. yes they are excellent jumpers. and very easy frightened too. so a hood is a definite must unless you want to come home to salted flasher wrasses drying on your floor. a cover made of egg crate is good enough, but if you really want to play safe, you can tie a mesh netting on top of the egg crate. temp will not rise because the egg crates have holes for ventilation.
