try not to put them near LPS especially the bubble. at night bubble corals have super long sweeper tentacles and can sting mushies. the sweepers are exacerbated by stronger flow. if its not from stinging, then possible warfare may happen but i will rule it out. its super unlikely because lps and softies can be kept together. chemicals not strong enough to kill each other with a skimmer and carbon. its hard to pinpoint the exact reason why they melt. could be parameters swing, could be manyt hings. mushrooms are super hard but sometimes they melt for reasons we don't understand.

try live brine? to tempt it. then wean it onto frozen. these fishes are not usually difficult to feed.
-
can you list down all the corals you have in your tank and especially those within 6 inches of your mushrooms.

so true! rare cannot be used in this context. its even rarer than peppermint angel. yeah very nice. got quite a number of them too -
actually these worms feed on microscopic liquid foods and other small suspensions. stirring your sand bed lightly, once in awhile may help. or dosing liquid phytoplankton. in the mean time, place it near a rock or somewhere shady, near sand and leave it. and hope nothing eats it. if it survives, it will make a new tube. it needs to be near rocks and sand because the tube will need these components to be built. that is, the dirt, sand etc.
-
they do that sometimes. let it be and it will regrow its tube. meanwhile put it somewhere dark and safe.

bro honestly, i don't like what you have just said. you don't dump a fish onto someone, someplace, or somewhere just because it grows too big for you. sorry if i sound harsh, but that is an extremely mean thing to say. now i can go on furthur but i wont. i'm sure you won't want to be dumped away when you grow up. do you know how many yellow tangs are caught and abused everyday by this kind of dumping? read this article. 610 yellow tangs found in the trash. http://glassbox-design.com/2010/hobby-gets...found-in-trash/ i hope that you treat livestock with more respect the next time. they are here in our tiny tanks to please people like you and i. least you can do is show them more love and don't dump them to someone else when they grow big. it's not their fault. can't keep it, don't buy it. besides you already said you know you can't so why consider.. at least next time use the word sell, donate or give. and read the article.

relax....and watch the language. keep comments about branding and stuff to yourself in future... i happen to like cheap magnet cleaners. i have a boyu. although the magnet may be weaker and need a few wipes to clean off the diatom on glass, they are light and are very useful for cleaning hard to reach areas because of their easy maneuvering. moreover, they double up as a betta box holder.
-
nothing comes cheap in this hobby. invest in good stuff for the long run. buy cheap test kits that may give inaccurate results will result in more losses. don't skimp out on important stuff like this. stuff like magnet cleaner, betta box, wan buy cheaper 1 is fine. but test kits, equipments, best to get better ones.. a good test kit will last you quite some time too, so its a good investment
-
get a good test kit.....like salifert... this kind of thing if u wanna test, get a good 1.
-
mix them all you want. most hard corals and softies are fine together. they do produce chemicals to fight each other off, but will be removed by a skimmer and carbon along with water changes. SPS and certain softies like leather corals need a little more care. but other than that, mix away my friend!

this was the smallest one there as of today, rest are 3 inches and above. the other smaller ones gone already. this fish is very very difficult.. won't want to try one unless you have a very stable tank, good pod population to sustain it until it starts feeding, a fairly reasonably large tank and a suitable sand bed for it.. success rate is low. my previous 1 was feeding very well but died after awhile too. this current 1 just ate 1 mysis shrimp just now.. a good sign but too soon to celebrate haha

my growing rics corner. the green 1 is a new resident here to join my old pinkish/orange one will slowly build this up. take my time haha. not really my cup of tea on its own, but they look very nice when grown in a little cluster IMO. slowly collect and make the base of that rock a little ric garden. taking my time on this.. expensive little corals. buying them 1 by 1 instead of a few at 1 go.
