  1. can i write this up on reefbuilders? i think a pico tank with so many SPS is freaking awesome.
  2. the tinker x declivis... if it comes from christmas islands it is NOT a hybrid. if it comes from elsewhere in the pacific then it could be.
  3. here's an un-identified flasher wrasse. but i think it's P. togeanensis x P. flavianalis. looks alot like the redsea flasher wrasse but this one is taken in indonesia somewhwere
  4. http://reefbuilders.com/2012/03/03/plectranthias-kelloggi-japan-shows-singapore/
  5. thanks for sharing! i especially liked the fiji/tonga one
  6. callanthias japonicus and the halcurius anemone require cold water. pls make sure you know that before buying because these species are difficult to keep. assessor randalli and plectranthias kelloggi can withstand normal temperatures.
  7. very nice shipment above. i'm very excited for the randall's assessor. it's a very seldom seen japan species that has only been recently shipped to other parts of the world. i wrote an article on it here if you're interested to know more about it and know what it looks like. good for nano tank keepers! http://reefbuilders.com/2011/11/28/assessor-randalli/
  8. omg omg i love olivaceus anthias. i've never seen them in singapore before? or maybe i don't pay attention enough. very nice fish.
  9. very beautiful rabaulichthys stigmaticus. i love this species the most because of the higher dorsal fin which is mostly yellow as well as the large spot!
  10. Officially ended my tertiary education today. Immunology paper ended 2.40pm

  11. multibar from marshall islands are much healthy and sustainably caught compared to philippine ones. meaning they are caught properly using nets and not cyanide caught, and also under go better shipping and better facility and pre-shipping care. however, it still shares one trait that is similar to philippine caught multibars and all other multibars for that matter, they are hard to feed. so marshall island ones are very healthy but still, if they don't feed, they die anyway,
  12. very nice. why did you sell your joculator? where's the snowflake basslet?
  13. My guess would be P. Chrysurus x Maculosus, but most probably a juvenile maculosus from kenya. maculosus from kenya can retain juvenile colors up to really large sizes of 4-5 inch, like these below.
  14. another video of c. niger in the wild. same as the above. remember the other c. niger taken in oak island japan we posted about months ago? this video was uploaded on june 12 2011, just ONE DAY before the oak island one was uploaded! on june 13. how coincidental!? two totally diff fish in two totally different islands by two different people. and c.niger is an extremely rare and elusive angelfish!
  15. video of pseudanthias sp. 4 in the wild. double bar anthias
  16. Awesome pictures of the very rare Vanderhorstia nannai! If only someone could breed these.

  17. here are some v rare pics of debelius angels in japan last time.
  18. some fish at LADD. semifasciatus female pair eightline flasher wrasse trio. lunatus male/female pair. the male is gorgeous! another tiny juvenile feminine wrasse. this is the 2nd femimine juvenile on diver's den that is still not sold! the market is saturating with feminine wrasse already! what a turn of events. just one year ago everyone was hungry for them
  19. yes like i said, it's normal.. just the camouflage mechanism for the fish.
