  1. haha bro my method is to differentiate males and females. the fin and blue markings will tell. but the thickness of bar depends on location and individual fish. anyway updates on reborn. plenty of young male maccosker flasher wrasses. all are young males with subdued colouring and short dorsal filaments. PERFECT for starting a harem. tiny tiny flame back angels from africa. 1 inch oso got. tiny radiant wrasses too. and the others mentioned in the stocklists.
  2. nice meeting you today lcf! very nice chatting with you. plenty of questions but was glad to answer for you. feel free to ask more here haha.
  3. female flame angels have rounded fins with little blue markings at the sides. males have pointed fins and alot more blue. females are also smaller.
  4. clown trigger dam cute! esp when they are babies. maybe get a baby shark to go with it too! haha.
  5. yes he is ok bro catch up with you after you buy your flasher wrasse :]
  6. honestly, i don't use salt mix at all. so my "cheapo" and your cheapo totally diff. i'm comparing oceanic to D&D, tropicmarin that kind lah. that's why i say "cheapo"... cheaper compared to the other more ex 1.
  7. marco excellent point. alot of good grade marine carbon are activated and have tiny minute pores. this what's important. alot of cheap carbon lacks this. i personally use ROWA carbon and i like it.
  8. hey man. how's your queen doing? any updates for us?
  9. once he has eaten the clam, it's good. the clam will tide him over while u train him on mysis. you can mash up pellets, flake and frozen food and press them into the empty clam shell also. the copperband will pick from there.
  10. there are alot of other wrasse siao 1 here. you can also ask law, thomas lim, solo etc. these are also very exprienced reefers who i'm sure are willing to lend a helping hand. hehe
  11. i got oceanic at home so can use. but i think not enough so i will buy summore later. i dun wan keep too much salt at home. as it is i alot of barang everywhere. house dam messy.
  12. don't think so bah haha. nvm. i'll use salt... cheapo salt can right? since it's just for cycling ._. oceanic? lol
  13. lols sure. need help in iding wrasse just feel free to ask. was wrasse siao last time. all kinds also keep before.
  14. haha! can make out some of the german lah. like seconden... seconds. lol HAHAHAHA! live rock
  15. haha. no lah no need thanks. have someone to help me liao
  16. try an open clam. copperbands go crazy for half open clams. those la-la type. don't keep more than 1 copperband together unless they are a pair. don't try to pair yourself too if you are thinking of doing so.. very difficult to pair. needs tons of skill and patience. nonetheless, very pretty fish and hope yours feeds soon and kicks the ich
  17. successfully translated all my test kits. thank goodness for instructions! ammonia test kit reagents contain mercury salts -___- wth.. and they were like "WARNING WARNING" IN GERMAN! pfft
  18. no problem bro learn along the way. hope you find your flasher wrasse... what species you like lol. they all look very similar but with the trained eye, you can discern all of them with ease
  19. ok thanks everyone for the input. i just opened up all my test kits to read since i'm bored... ammonia and PO4 test kits are printed ENTIRELY in german! the other test kits have english translations except for ammonia and PO4. this renders the test kits useless and i'll need to call to see what i can do about it or use google translator hehe
  20. now dilemma. dunno wan use salt mix or NSW for cycling. since i dam lazy to drain the water...
  21. not only that... FOWLR forum is also for fishes like lions, groupers, parrotfish, large angels etc that are meant for FOWLR. reef fishes section for fishes that are kept in reef tanks. like wrasse, dwarf angels, etc. lcf, you have posted 10 over topics in FOWLR section ranging from equipment, tank set up, invertebrates, etc. i would urge you to read before you post so as to avoid confusion and messing up the different sub-forums. and in the first place, your "where to buy flasher wrasse" should be posted in LFS update.. since it has nothing related to reef fishes, but simply asking which LFS carries them.. but since you're new, i'll just let you know the basic and hopefully you'll learn along to way.
