  4. broke the record for number of deformities spotted today.. a tailless singapore angels bought by fuel a copperband butterflyfish with 1/3 it's ana| fin. a dented head majestic angel
  5. it's difficult to get a 2nd hand chiller... how to have a convinient 2nd hand chiller lying around to chill a 183 gallon tank? the after sales service is good. is just when he doing it that time, probably did it with some mistake because we cannot test it there and then without the thermostat and the tank running. will arrange with him to come to settle the problem on monday. i want to get everything done with ASAP so i can put the tank set up behind me. anyway on a brighter note (pun intended), the lights are up. no chiller = no lights. so they will be turned off for now.
  6. why like that. the dorsal and @nal fins never extend isit? or is it born like this.
  7. argh i really hate this month. bad luck after bad luck.. the compressor was working fine and suddenly stopped. need to call the person come and settle -.- and i hope SOON. problem is the electricity cannot reach the compressor unit... i think the wiring never do properly. zzzzz
  8. argh i really hate this month. bad luck after bad luck

  9. lol thanks for remembering my sump. just a reminder, if anyone intends to to my sump's cabinet design, please ensure you oil the hinges on the flip top roof otherwise it will rust and become very hard to open. hard to open = no access to sump.
  10. yep. agreed. the tail is not diamond enough. and the pelvic fins still have potential. i arrived 10mins after 10.30 and 4 very nice ones were reserved in the basket. so i just picked one of the leftovers which was still so so. a far cry from my old rhomboid. but with time, will grow.
  11. MH and T5 up and running! compressor up and running too! finaloy

  12. why leh? anyway i just bought another tunze 6105, and i realise there's something wrong with my multi controller. zzz

  13. yes. this month is the bad luck month. everybody's things are breaking, spoiling and dying. just read the status update the past few weeks

  14. the one i took is more yellow. my old one is very purple. since i kept the more purple one before, i got the more yellow one today.
  15. i dont think crown of thorns starfishes are available in LFS..... btw that's alot of snappers....a juvenile parrotfish and a potentially large coris... all need a new home when they grow bigger...and all will potentiall pose a threat to your shrimps..
  16. Cirrhilabrus rhomboidalis. picked up one this morning... was abit late so the nicer ones were already taken. slowly choose from the rest in the blue tub.. 1st pic w/o flash, 2nd and 3rd pics with flash. hope it does well. deep water wrasses like rhomboids are prone to a myriad of maladies.
  17. BTA. GSP is useless when it comes to physical fight. they are only good at outgrowing other corals.
  18. plenty of rhomboid wrasses left at LCK. first time seeing SO many rhomboids in ONE place. really shocked. plenty of females, plenty of sub standard males. at least 2 "alpha males" left when i left. nicer ones are reserved.. CF has kole tang. purple tangs burgess butterfly watanabe angels (females) plenty of them sunset anthias left a pair of very nice blackspot angelfish (genicanthus melanospilos) the male is big and spectacular a lone male genicanthus melanospilos also available. long tail streamers
  19. frozen cyclopeeze iwarna got sell. skip the brine shrimp. it's useless. no nutritional value.
  20. perhaps even rarer than lotilia, the lotilia impersonator. Cryptocentrus malindiensis
  21. then i will reduce my list the common and boring ones like emperor etc will go~ rest will keep. butterflies have relatively low bioload since they feed quite little. it's the angels i'm worried about. so will probably forgo the bigger angels bah.
