  1. From iwarna's latest blueharbor shipment. Meiacanthus kamoharai - the only one outside japan currently. Valenciennea bellae - a lovely sand sifter goby that shared the same fate as kamoharai, but is now slowly spreading to the states and other parts of the world. the care level of this species is a hit and miss, and can be difficult initially.
  2. cocos lemonpeel. i used to own one and i loved it very much. v unique.
  3. some rarities from LADD. Melichthys vidua x Melichthys indicus. Look at the fins! such a unique fish that looks so contemporary and edgy. i love it! and a pair of Vanderhorstia nannai.
  4. GBG made its debut about 2 years ago f from ORA. LCK brought a whole Bunch of them. iwarna also had a few shipments of it. And then poof. No more. Try requesting from them again
  5. Hi bro CFOH, Where did you find this picture from? It is a photo of my old flame angel pair. Male and females r not differentiated by number of bars In fact I deliberately chose this female with less bars to pair with a male with many bars as I thought it would make for an interesting pair. Females have a rounder ana| fin and the blue edging in less pronounced. Compare it with the male which has a bigger n more pointed ana| fin Blue edging also more extensive. Stripes for flame angels r v variable and cannot be used to determine gender. Some have no bars at all. Cheers
  6. I've tried a small group (1 male 3 female) in a mixed reef. No problems. Hit or miss but in general, flames are very safe.
  7. Flame is very safe. The worst dwarfs to keep in reefs are the eibli complex which are - vroliki, flavissima and eibli. Your lemonpeel belongs here.
  8. Here's a better picture. Do let us know what dr randall says. I have never seen a live picture of erythrops before.
  9. beautiful and gorgeous Diamond tail flasher wrasse (Paracheilinus attenuatus). it regularly makes an appearance in small numbers via african shipments in the U.S. however we never get these in any of our african shipments.
  10. an amazing fish. From Greenwich aquaria. It looks like a highly aberrated Pseudojuloides severnsi, but it was collected from Kenya where P. severnsi is not found. it is likely to be a new species.
  11. It is from coral island. Not sure if its a shop or private collector? But they seem to be able to get them
  12. They can be quite secretive. C.smithi is amazzzziinnggg!
  13. Welcome joe from old town aquarium! We are excited to have a knowledgable and passionate reefer join this thread. We have featured your fish both here and on reefbuilders before so its exciting to see you here! The dottyback is unusual and yes it def is not a flammicauda. Different sp complex. I'm sure Dr Gill will get back soon with the ID. He has helped in the past with a few pseudochromis sp. As for that oddball from Florida, i have no idea. Perhaps digiman or terry will know.
  14. Its semifasciatus season again and as usual, RVS is flooding the market with dozens of them. males are beautiful. Full growm watanabes are more common but also nice.
  15. Insane. Chaetodon smithi for sale in Japan last year as well as wild pictures. My favorite species. These were collected via an expedition.
  16. An update on the amazing Cirrhilabrus brunneus by RVS that went to Tony vargas A most fascinating species.
  17. Holy cow!! First one looks like callogobius. Maybe try along that path? No idea on 2nd one
  18. The female is gone? The last video update by him with, I remember still seeing the pair. Along with debelius and tosanoides
  19. Amazing amazing amazing. Amazing kingii!!! Dr wing's personatus is still so male!!! 4cm tinkers.is. almost unheard of!!! Black longnose is.unusual and beautiful but will change back to yellow in weeks
  20. Amazing kingii!!! So healthy and bright looking. Aray as usual, juveniles are super.rare. EZ marine had a 1-2 inch juvenile for.sale b4
  21. deborah angel is just like its sister species, C. nox. very dull and black looking in normal lights. it is navy blue under proper lightings and at certain angles can appear very blue. but it is shy and not popular with reefers. i would get one if there was ever a 2 inch baby.
