  1. the rock anemone (phymanthus crucifer). wedged itself nicely into this little crevice. i'm in love with it. i actually had 2 but one did not make it while it was housed with a friend during the many months that my tank was setting up.
  2. also a male watanabe from vanuatu that was sold at a verrrrrrrrrrry good price beautiful genicanthus. all going into QT. thanks! hint hint
  3. super long awaited vanuatu shipment brought in 7 x Paracheilinus rubricaudalis A.K.A, red tailed flasher wrasse, or vanuatu's flasher wrasse. been waiting for this for very very long, and it's the rarest of the mccosker's complex, which includes (mccoskeri, flavianalis, attenuatus and rubricaudalis). The red tailed flasher boasts of a very sturdy and strong dorsal filament unlike the mccosker and other of the sister species. got them at a good price with some other things so cannot resist. a pic of them being acclimated. stress colour so don't ask me why they look so cui. but the dorsal fin filament is clearly shown. also, this fish has a very unique anal fin that is characteristic to only this species.
  4. wow long time no update. let's see more lemondrops!
  5. two variations of cirrhilabrus bathyphilus from vanuati itself. the first one from tanna island in vanuatu. photos by Dr. hiroyuki tanaka
  6. Scott fairy viariations by Dr. tanaka by far he's the only one i know that can retain the colour of scott's fairy! ARGH!
  7. any copper went into your tank or any medication go in? what's your NO3. NO2? NH3?
  8. it's still in the process of being completed so please bear with us for now. as of now, the angelfish gallery is completed with every single known species to date
  9. deepwater orange coral beauty. wether it's nice or not, up to you to decide. to me it's so-so only and i won't buy it.
  10. i bought it coz of the small bars. but yes of coz cant compare to shepardi. the mango colour is totally off. anyway if not nice i can resell easily. flame is such a sellable fish and even at $35, ppl sure buy
  11. Iwarna's NSW is one of the best IMO. NO3 0-3ppm PO4 0 to detectable, but too low to cause damage in reef tanks. NO2 0 NH3 0 Sg abit low though. but no cause for alarm. been using it for 2 years
  12. digi. this flame unique? bought it coz the bars resemble shepardi verrrrrrrry slightly. if not unique i'm going to re-sell at the price i bought it. the colour looks so red in the photo but i wish it was this red. it's just normal orangey red flame. actually it kinda look abitt like the fake shepardi, except for the thick ugly black first bar.
  13. what cardinal is this..? found it amongst some A. sealei in reborn.
  14. very common for big angels to shake food when they feed. it's a mechanism to tear the food or make it smaller.
  15. how often does it happen and what's the duration of it's swimming upside down? sounds to me like swim bladder problems or internal problems which is very common in rhomboids and lineatus. they will feed but soon after, stop feeding and die. hope yours is not the case.
  16. yep. cebu pylei wrasse come from cebu shipments. yellow mask, watanabe also i think all come from cebu shipment
  17. no lah grow so big. not my cup of tea. at most if have i get 2 nia. today shipment maybe can find flavoguttatus. but they usually appear at iwarna's. maybe tomorow they will have.
  18. genicanthus. damn nice that male. even the melanospilos
  19. not good. swim upside down? fairy wrasses don't swim upside down in nature at all.
