  1. yes have kept capnella before. coral warfare between softies and SPS is a big misunderstanding. yes there is chemical warfare. but can be easily overcomed by carbon and water change. there are many ppl keeping sinularias, sarcophyton, capnella etc all with SPS. even with anemones. no problem if you run carbon and water change.
  2. LCK still has a marjorie wrasse left. cirrhilabrus marjorie. wrasse fanatics why are you missing out on this!?
  3. could be a slight variation. as you know, zoas are so highly susceptible to changes in colour even in the slightest perimeter.
  4. ok off topic. nothing rare or anything but this is the most beautiful sohal tang i've ever seen!
  5. Begone, bryopsis! You vile weed!

  6. begone bryopsis! your vile weed!

  7. i dunno about 4000m, but 400m as it is is already super deep and very very dark.
  8. *calling out to potential sponsors! i know you're reading! hint hint*
  9. ah yes Pronotogrammus martinicensis. 400m is not even insane. its absolutely ridiculous. at that level, it's way way below the twilight zone and it's pitch black. i don't know how an anthias can survive there.
  10. dorsal filament is extremely long for the size! gorgeous!
  11. first one looks like latifasciatum but definitely not it. i know the name for 2nd one!! but cannot remember! argh.
  12. almost 3 weeks. they are undergoing hyposalinity so you can be assured that they are disease free. and they are also feeding very well. that's why i decide to sell at $10 above my buying price. no decompression problem in the male which is very common for male genicanthus. anyway they are currently reserved. if the buyer backs out, will update. thanks! abit sad and hesitant to sell them away since they're so so uncommon here. but clearing space for other genicanthus so decided to sell away.
  13. SO FAST? mine got grow but not 2x. they cleared up alot of my hair algae already. almost zero.
  14. they're dam hardworking. even bryopsis also eat.
  15. 2 photos of Cypho zaps. looks extremely similar to Cypho purpurascens, but is found in indonesia and japan.
  16. dont forget once your rocks go in everything, your volume will be less than 110 g
  17. if u use the 1262 its 7.5x turnover.. 825 gallons per hour. means every hour, it pumps 825 gallons. divided by your tank volume of 110 gallon, your turn overrate is 7.5x/hour. this thread getting off topic.....start a new thread in the proper section. i will close this thread
  18. dunno if 1262 is enough. go calculate the turnover rate?
  19. oh yah forgot to post this too. dragonface pipe. bought together with the banded pipe. abit unorthodox for pipefish to be in the main display, but it's not impossible. both are feeding on mysis. love how it slithers around the tank instead of swimming. both are suprisingly strong swimmers though! dont see them so weak they are strong. unphased by the strong waves from the tunze 6105 even at full power.
  20. crystal glass or normal glass doesnt matter. the idea is still same . jump from 12 to 15 will be a big jump. but call to check. if you can get good deals and can afford then go for 15mm. leaks usually happen because of poor silicon job.
  21. 12mm should be ok lah. jumping from 12mm to 15mm thickness is not $1 to $2. the jump is very high. for my crystal glass tank, 12mm to 15mm is almost double the price. so do consider. but for safety reasons, 15mm is definitely better. but 12mm should be fine. my tank 3.5 x 3.5 x 2 is 12mm. as for turnover rate, not sure. 6x is minimum but i would go for at least 8-10 times if you can. the higher the turnover rate the better.
  22. the anthias you are keeping are very common and come by very often. a few months is too long... i suggest you sell now and then re-buy again next time. 8 anthias in a 2ft tank is not fun!
