  1. managed to catch a photo of my rhomboid just as it's about to eat a mysis shrimp.
  2. rare baby angels. bandit, joculator, hotumatua, interruptus, conspic and africanus.
  3. now then you know? -__- anyway lck still got hooded meh? if you want to have the ugly ah kua vanuatu male without the hood, then get the aussy one, or get a sub-male vanuatu hooded and keep it alone. that way it won't get a chance to develop into an alpha male.
  4. the most commonly encountered temminckii complex. the ugliest of them all!
  5. yes but it's so gorgeous. it looks even better than the real temminckii!
  6. attention digiman and terryz. the wrasse we saw at iwarna and reborn is NOT C. temminckii. i repeat, it's not. it is a NEW species, but still part of the temminckii complex! here's a picture by H. tanaka. It is still undescribed. but i find it gorgeous!
  7. females of both aussy and vanuatu hooded are uncommon and rare. your best chance will be to obtain a large alpha male and a very young male and pair them up. in time, the young male will revert back to female provided it doesn't get killed. this method works before. my group of marjorie wrasse exhibit this to and fro sex change. male > female > male again.
  8. the banduts and crosshatch are beautiful! and also look at the number of potter's. truly the most abundant dwarf angel in mainland hawaii.
  9. they are. cost around 200+ sgd. but it's very rare even in japan.
  10. yeah but the harem consist of alot of female. chances of seeing one nearby is quite high. quite interesting to see them alone like that. so lonesome. like we saw the marjorie video from fishbase. so many others nearby.
  11. why is the lanceolatus solitary?? aren't all fairy wrasses haremic?
  12. it's a shame these japanese fairies are so rare that even BH don't have stock. funny why the above two wrasess are in paires. where are the other females?
  13. i just hope don't die!!!!!! 9/10 rhomboids this size will succumb to some stupid problem sooner or later. CROSS FINGERS
  14. Cirrhilabrus naokoae. lovely pics. photo credited in the picture itself.
  15. this picture taken with flash. look at the unreal colours that shows up when the camera flash reflects off the golden scales! unbelievable. but don't believe the colours of this photo. no rhomboid wrasse in the world have colours like this.
  16. rhomboid just woke up in the morning. showing darkened colours due to stress and night time colours. such large rhomboids almost never do well. i hope mine doesn't come up with some stupid decompression problem or other wrasse problems in the next few days.
