  1. good water perimeters and feed alot of vegetation like red bamboo, nori, grape algae etc. colour loss can be either stress, nutrition deficiency, poor water quality (stray electricity, high NO3, low salinity) etc. MOST COMMONLY lack of nutrition and poor water quality. fix this two and ur tangs should colour up.
  2. sure..... the more help the better..... 6 weeks trip more or less confirmed lah. if cancel oso good but i would say with confidence, it's confirmed :/
  3. iwarna have new crocea clams. small sized ones. normal grades. also a few pieces of very big and beautiful mummy's eye chalice. yellow belly regals at ah beng. some are very very healthy. Walt smith iwarna, Saturday morning. (As posted on sponsor's forum)
  4. yes i will be very busy next year. i have a 6 week overseas attachment programme for bio-remediation and microbiology in adelaide, Australia. 6 weeks away is very long, the longest i've ever been away. i will still some SPS, but only a few lah. for now
  5. within half hour can suck my entire tank dry and replace liao. if we were to lugg water back and change my tank volume we will either end up with sore hands or broken backs. if i do salt mix, i will spend a bomb on salt. both also not worth.
  6. i'll just call iwarna. lol. faster easier.
  7. Let me do a water change tomorrow first to bring down the dKH. then slowly adjust my parameters back to normal. this SPS thing to laychey. i dunno how am i going to find time to jaga all this when i go to year 3 next year. got industrial attachment programme, overseas attachment, final year project. oh shudder if still too troublesome and time consuming then i'll just downgrade to softies again lol.

  17. bro angelfish sorry, i mis-understood your unitial post. i did not know you meant install an ozonizer. i read your post as pumping ozone gas into the water. in that case, yes. ozonizer and UV sterilizers will denature DNA very quickly. thus any bacteria, virus or protozoa in contact with UV or ozone, will have their DNA denatured and degraded and the organism will die.
  18. yalor. sian. maybe all my SPS will die! lol.
