  1. oops typoe. yes. tomiYamichthys. it is regularly available at ah beng and cf, especially ah beng. you didn't pair it with a shrimp?
  2. blueharbor new haul of baby wrought irons. look at how tiny they are omg. the narcosis looks like a beast next to it!
  3. Hahaha. My DT is comparatively empty
  4. yes all in my refugium. these shrimps are peaceful commensal species that do not move much. each one will stay on a coral they fancy and just "dance" around it. sometimes they exchange places. i'm at my max already almost, in terms of the number of shrimps in my nano. but there's no more that i can think of to keep. so for now it's all good. i only have one shrimp in my DT and it's on an anemone. it's ok in the DT if they are anemone/coral shrimps. they stay on the coral and will not go missing. free ranging shrimps like sexies and other small shrimps will just get eaten or MIA. i want to keep Bodianus, so none of these will survive in DT.
  5. Bryaninops natans in the wild, lives in groups amongst sps branches and cave overhangs. obtainable but very seldom.
  6. beautiful scape! and welcome back!
  7. one more shrimp i forgot to upload. Leander plumosus. big nose shrimp. super interesting shape, long rostrum, hunched back. shy and prefer coming out to forage at night.
  8. my "refugium" is looking more like a nano tank. but i added more macro algae in it today. lights are off now. will take a FTS tomorrow.
  9. trimma stobbsi, shot at 70m!!! by the same flickr user. such a deepwater trimma!
  10. Asterropteryx ensifera. from flickr user Klaus Stiefel. he reported finding groups of 10s of these hovering over sand bed at 10m depth in philippines. i have been patiently waiting for asterropteryx gobies for a long time. hope one day they arrive.
  11. more pics of this amazing dotty!! the salmon pink males are amazing.
  12. Yes perhaps adeljean meant the misuse of the common name. I may have interpreted it wrongly as well. It appears the confusion lies in the term mustache and sailfin being miscorrectly labelled to each species. A confusion between the common names, and not the scientific identity. Mustache Jawfish can also mean the undescribed Ospigtonathus from Indonesia as well.
  13. Joe yet again you have stunned us with your knowledge. My original post on RB was corrected by adeljean on the ID. He did not mentio much even on email. My knowledge regarding Jawfish are poor, much less two sympatric species such as this. However your points regarding phenotype difference as well as non overlapping isolated range of fenmutis is good reason enough to separate these two. And I agree with you on this. I was not able to see the physical differences until now.
  14. All three species of wetmorella are common and can be found regularly in Philippine shipments. Of the three species, albofasciata is least common. But is by no means rare
