  1. ans not forgetting paucifasciatus and mesoleucos. so commin in the red sea but where are they? divers all too pampered to catch them.
  2. that makes it rare in the hobby!! like smithi butterfly also very abundant in the wild but coz of it's stupid location, cannot get. oh smithi will make such an excellent show fish,
  3. hehe i think she will remember lah. i wrote it down and pasted on her desk. she did call me recently regarding the chrysocephalus wrasse and the blue-line angel. so she will remember. especially the semifasciatus which i've been talking about so much to her! i hope she enjoys her little pig fish. she's v happy with it, i can tell. when it was feeding she was so happy lol. anyway the fish listed as number 2001 maybe have problem coming in since it's so rare and they only brought in once? before. but their hawaii fishes are really healthy and a force to be reckon with. rhomboids almost always no DOA one. so if your fish 2001 comes, it will be good. I THINK!
  4. everyday i'm praying for the semi pair to arrive haha. even if don't pair, but come female i will also chiong to get it. the females are also very nice. if the semi pair arrive at iwarna then for sure i will get it, same for our rusty flame. CF also. after my "die hu" incident, i think aunty will not forget my "mark angel" <<< hahahha. as for ahbeng, i have little control over there so if the semi appears there it's as good as gone unless i so happen to be at the right place at the right time.
  5. haha ohh yes. east african stock list have blackburni, robustus, marcellae, zanzibar. i tick all and requested to bring in at least minimum, one of each. so that won't be hard to sell. marcellae i ask to bring in more. so hopefully have lor. but blackburnii maybe won't get to see. depends on luck bah. the stocklist only put 1. if not fast enough maybe other LFS buy over liao.
  6. i've always had a liking for bandit but it's never crossed my mind to add it in my tank. probably means i don't like it as much. so bandit is a no i guess. maybe semi pair if can find. if not then maybe an AT... i do like AT. provided it's not too big.
  7. this crab v cute. i posted somewhere here before.
  8. 2nd one look v much like a rusty blackburni coming? when?
  9. wah amazing. such a humungous tank! the SPS colours so nice summore. i like the school of evansi
  10. yah i added one more that was neglected in iwarna'a sump tnak. thanks! show fish? marginalis and declivis not show enough? hmm... bandit v ex lei. AT? sounds ok. what other showy fish. semifasciatus pair lor haha.
  11. my 2nd tank video. hope you enjoy and give some comments on how to improve. FTS at end of video.
  12. had this problem before. a pain to remove. they attack your fishes at night when they sleep, and in the morning they drop off. sometimes just before the lights go on you can see them attach to your fishes still. not harmful in onesies or twosies, but in large amounts can stress your fish.
  13. I'm pleased to announce that Australomussa rowleyensis is made available in Singapore! I don't know if this is the first time, but this coral made it's appearance on Deepavali friday @ pinnicle. In fact, the exact piece was this.
  14. the brand new LPS seen at pinnicle that day is available now! remember you asked me what it was and i told you i forgot the name? it's Australomussa rowleyensis and it can be found in nearby indo shipments. This is a rather new coral to hit the trade and i was pleasently surprised to see this insane LPS at Pinnicle. in fact, the exact piece at pinnicle was this pictured below. Anyway i just finished takign a tank video with many shots of the orange true octo.
  15. the first pic show some v alpha and red johnson. will be V nice once settled down. the bell flasher is a young male. ugly.
  16. really!? ohh did not know that! i tot steven bring in his own gem tangs. doesn't matter. mitratus is a wide ranging fish in the indian ocean and is found in both mauritius and maldives. even now it's being imported from mozambique! but i agree it's more commonly imported from maldives.
  17. any lfs that has mauritius shipment can bring this in. but LCK has the strongest buying power in terms of importing overseas fish in singapore. and LCK has brought in mauritius shipment before and we saw gem tangs from there. so if he want to bring in, he probably can. for me, when i hear the word mauritius, this mega rare fish pops up! the blood stained fairy wrasse, Cirrhilabrus sanguineus. The only person in the world who has it is Dr. Hiroyuki Tanaka. He has 2. One pair. Of course, mitratus butterfly is something i want from Mauritius too!
  18. that's alot of fish for tank that size. especially with so many big angels. hmm i really dunno lei. hard to access just like that.
  19. that's ALOT of fish. what size is your tank? anyway you can rule out cyanide poisoning because cyanide is not used in carribean and african fishes. only indonesia and philippines.
  20. Iwarna/Irene - Blotchy anthias. Irene also have some very unique lubbock's wrasse. I've not seen this variant before. It's pink with yellow dorsal fin and with the two black horizontal lines. Usually the black lines only appear in the variant that has a white body. never seen the lines on the pink variant before. here's a picture of a dead specimen in fishbase.
  21. yah precisely that's why, because the time span is so short! so strange, unsolved mystery.
  22. you post yours lor? anyway no lah. pics of pair/schooling AT in the wild can find easily. but in home aquarium very seldom ppl keep more than 1 AT. unless you are chingchai lah. lol
  23. sometimes underlying disease can be "masked" by seemingly healthy fish. but when the trigger is fired, disease outbreak can set into motion very quickly and kill everything. Diseased fish can look very healthy and have varocious apetite. Esp if they are infected with gill flukes or other disease that are obvious which gives the fish a "healthy" look. but the time span is so short.
