  1. the fishes made it back alive. 2 butterflies 1 anthias. the anthias jumped out from my net and dropped on the floor before i placed it in my sump. so i hope it did not sustain any major injuries..... pray to god becoz this anthias is like, very unobtainable. here are internet pics. i'll update when they settle down.
  2. no before pics paiseh. i'll update pics soon. thanks! good to be back. anyway HK LFS is such a big difference to singapore ones. the fishes are all crammed into tiny compartments but all no disease. a 1ft x 1ft tank can have as many as 15 longnose butterflies! the turn over rate is very fast and it's ok. the honkies are big on angels and butterflies. unlike our shipments, theirs is totally oppsite! their shipment all come huge quantities of angels and butterflies whereas singaporeans are more big on wrasses, damsels and other smaller fish. on my last day back they had a new shipment full of U.S zoas and many v v v v nice ones. but my cam ran out of batt so can't take. they had the full red eagle eye, the fruit loops and all the other fancy names. and a big shipment of xenias also.
  3. came back to pleasently find my birdnest and stags are having a super fast growth spurt! omg i did not know SPS can grow so fast.

  6. i post many times all over this forum so you can search for more info. they are like dwarf angels. treat them the same way. deep water butterflies so their diet not primarily coral based. i've kept declivis 3 times, both times completely reef safe, 1 time ate my favia. keep them well fed will be ok. declivis, tinkeri, mitratus, burgess all the same in terms of captive requirements hope that helps.
  7. it's the 3rd right turn. 2nd right turn is irene.
  8. curious, inquisitive, healthy specimen in the pink of health. as with all roaps butterflies. always arrive healthy and in good shape. this video clearly demonstrates the ease of these roaps butterflies. they will also begin feeding immediately upon arrival. i hope this encourages more people to try them. my number 97555430
  9. they said it was reserved by someone named thomas. wah miss this fish by 2 hours. i really have no fate with this fish. i've been looking for it very long but everytime it comes i have no chance to buy it. will wait for the next shipment... mitratus butterfly is very hardy and is the most aggressive of all the roaps butterflies. it will do very well in captivity.
  10. my phone no roaming... never mind lah... i missed it 5 times i can wait again
  11. AM got maldive shipment. white terelabrus sp again, dracula goby.. and one mitratus butterfly but it's been sold!!!! ugh wanted this fish so badly. dunno how long more must i wait for this.... too slow for 5 times in a row already.
  12. same price.. argi angels are quite variable fishes and come in varying shades of blue and orange. some have more orange some have less.
  13. oh that's good. my flight is 7pm and have to be at the airport by 5pm. so i have enough time to go shopping before i board the plane yes i saw the acrylic shop. sell many nice box, tanks, traps and small containers. fa yueh street i went also. like a very big pasar malam with plenty of cheap goods.
  14. bring ur family come and eat lor. can tapao back ur angels also.
  15. this is also another must try. it's crab smothered in a mountain of deep fried garlic. very interesting dish. and it's literally, under a MOUNTAIN of garlic. but the garlic is deep fried and very very crispy and fragrant. like potato chips. and its very delicious. the crab is buried under like.... 3 inch of garlic? i don't know how much garlic they used. the garlic probably costs as much as the crab... lol i took a photo of the garlic after the crab was finished. so much! spoon for comparison.
  16. this too. deep friend mantis shrimp. the shell is very hard to peel and need to be cut with scissors. it tastes like a cross between scallops and lobster. texture is abit chewy. very delicious!
  17. if you ever go there, you have to eat this. it's roasted duck in some kinda soup and underneath is noodle. freaking amazing. it's like drugs.
  18. If you are in hong kong and want to eat seafood, i reccomend this place. the address is here. sorry i don't know how to read chinese. the food is amazing. price wise is like jumbo seafood at east coast. nearest MTR station is jordan. be sure to order the water chest nut drink. v nice. and the steam bamboo clams with garlic. i did not take photos of those 2. but v v nice
  19. take the MTR to prince edward and go out of exit B. once out of exit B, turn left and cross the road, and continue walking until you see a petrol kiosk. opposite the petrol kiosk is a huge street with a big arowana sighboard. that is goldfish street. tons of freshwater shops and some marine shops. some of the freshwater shops sell both marine and fresh. but the marine fishes in those shops are common and usually diseased. i reccomend yat wong aquarium, also on goldfish street. it's very big and have many many rare fish. all the conspic, koran hybrid etc are from that shop.
  20. these are another type of carnivorous plants. the sundew.
  21. this shop had something interesting. not fish but plants. not plants, but pitcher plants (Nepenthes sp.) and venus flytraps. (Dionea muscipula) i used to keep these in singapore with much success. venus flytraps are harder because they need to undergo winter dormancy.
