So exciting, can't wait to see the tank filled up. The sump looks very neat and nice by the way, can be a display tank on its own already hahaha!
-
You will probably need snorkeling gear to scape your tank lol. Where will you be getting your live rocks from?
-
Hahaha, just remember that the epoxy cures out of water very quickly when you get it... East side LFS closest to you that's open after work hours: RB, GO, AM. Yah your bam bams are opening too, algae is almost gone... Told you the tailspot blenny will do his job haha.

No wonder BP couldn't stop the oil leak after so long, they sent Robert Green to plug it.

Bro, any dead rocks can be colonised by bacteria and coralline algae again. You can even use it in the main tank. As long as you cycle your tank properly, bacteria population will be back and as long as you maintain Ca, Mg and alkalinity, provide adequate light, coralline algae will grow. Regarding your reply to Goondoo, if you wash and air dry the rocks for a week, it will be dead but no worries cos it will be populated by bacteria in no time once you cycle the tank.
-
!!!! Bro, better find time to epoxy it quick, you wouldn't want it to crack or scratch your glass. Very nice scape by the way, glad my OCD habit of hoarding nice rocks has paid off for you.
-
Hi bro, if the rocks are "half dead" and are not going to be used till July, I think it is best to just bake it in the sun and kill off everything for good. While the beneficial bacteria and organisms will be killed, you will also have very clean rocks without hitch hikers like crabs and bobbit worms lol. When you cycle your new tank, you can add some cured live rocks to seed the system or dose bacteria. As for your sand, yup, you can wash them then leave to dry too. Basically your new tank will have to be cycled from the beginning. If you want to keep the rocks alive, you can keep them in a tub circulating with water till your new tank arrives.

Hi Pingster, welcome to the forum! As far as I understand, it is quite a challenge to maintain a wall mounted tank due to the limited space for quality equipment. A fellow reefer, Mitlancer has experienced both nightmares and success with a 4ft Atlantis tank. I think he has done extensive mods and it seems to be doing well today, after 4 or 5 years. You can view his tank thread here: Mitlancer's "Miracle" Atlantis Walll Mount

I'm interested too!

Bro, there there are cheaper alternatives to Mr Clean, can buy from supermarkets and neighbourhood chapalang stores. It is white in colour, exactly the same thing: melamine foam.
-
Umm I think the 2 names mentioned in the reply above you seem to enjoy the spanking more than any of us leh...

I promised Jacky that i will not piak his backside if he award me TOTM, and he did lol. Ok la enough joking already, it was a forum glitch. Nothing to see here
-
!!! where did that come from?
-
Thanks bro! Although I think you are the real pro, silently read SRC for 5 years before starting a tank... your tiger and dragon are crouching and hiding all these years waiting to be unleashed lol.
-
Thank you bro, I'm sure by now you have lots of nice zoas too hur hur hur... Basket don't make me blush la hahaha The tank is a direct transfer from my old tank thats why everything settled so quickly. Also, I have been patiently collecting frags and buying stuff from bros who decom here (including you!) so credit should go to them

Back when Mah Bow Tan announced the plan to reach the WC finals by 2010, there were already jokes that we should just grant pink ICs to the entire Brazil line up. Sadly, that has really become our strategy for success in sports now.
-
HAHAHAHAHA you still remember!!! Yah man, Mr Mah Bow Tan, where is Singapore?
-
It is slightly redder than that, actually red is not a good word, it is more like a dark and bright orange. I had that fish for almost 2 years, and as it grew bigger the colour faded, but was still more orange than the normal pale orange ocellaris. I think bro finbir is right, it could be a result of pigment rich diet.

There is a low humming sound when you tune it to the max, but if it is inconsistent then maybe you must align the wet/dry portion again. It is prone to slipping slightly, causing the irregular sound.

Hailea chiller kicks in within a full degree. If you set it at 28, it will kick in at 29.

Yup, I think in later interviews it was revealed that the fighting scene was a reenactment, but they did get whacked hahaha. They drew the crowd to an empty field in the middle of nowhere after weeks of marketing... Actually I would have seen the humour in it if I got tricked.

Your zoa frag tank is coming along nicely, first it's an upgrade of light, before you(r wife) know it skimmer will come next followed by a sump and cabinet... Seriously, nice fts!

Thanks leh... Where got show hand hahaha... Wilson thinks that I post so often that a one week silence is a very long time, since he miss my tank so much I took more pics to shut him up lor haha! JK ah Wilson The splendid was from Hellbliss's decom, he should be coming back with a nano soon Will let you know when I can frag the purple hornet, I got another frag from Hellbliss, but the skirt doesn't have the yellow trimming. Heard that purple and blue hornets are very fragile, will wait and see if it colour up and when stable enough, frag a few for you. Thanks for the compliments bro! My collection of zoas lack in variety la, don't think it is very nice yet:ThanxSmiley: Hahaha, now you tease me back la... Wait patiently... Once your baby doesn't need the play area, you can take over it and set up your new nano

Wow! Yeah I was wondering what it would look like if they had kids. Love the ORA pic, almost thought it was photoshopped haha. Thanks again for the compliments. I only take simple snapshots of the tank on sunday nights when I have nothing better to do, how the pictures turn out depends on how much alcohol I consume haha. No secret la bro, but Henry is really a treasure trove of techniques and ideas, you must always pick his brains when you visit to get the most out of your purchases. It is like those kung fu masters imparting knowledge haha. Basically, you knead the 2 parts of the epoxy like how you normally would with playdoh, then roll both palms together until you get a long thin strand of "shit" haha. Fold the strand of epoxy into half, then roll again vigorously till it is thin again and fold it again. Keep repeating this for another 15 to 20 minutes. You will know that it is evenly mixed when the epoxy is warm and sticky enough to lift the purple stains off your hand.
