Costs less than a dollar to make

Bubble is probably stressed and adjusting to your lights. It's the one you got from me right? My tank is super bright and I got 2 separate photo periods, 4 hours of light early in the morning and 4 hours of light when I return home. You'll probably need to give it some time to get used to the new environment. My cleaner shrimps will also dig the bubble sometimes, especially when it has just eaten Give it some time to get used to your lighting period and observe what are the times it tend to open.

WOW! That is really neat and modern looking! You should consider plans to hide your reefpack and lighting, this open top look is quite designer and artsy Using the JBJ stand for your tank is a master stroke, it looks 100X better than using it with a JBJ tank. Sorry if I sound excited, I wish I came up with that idea hahahaha. By the way, you don't have to buy the magic eraser from Amazon, Daiso sells a series of similar products in various sizes. Can be found at supermarkets and neighbourhood sundry stores too. And i'm sure you know this, but it's better to clean the glass with a plastic card nearer to the bottom, sponges and magnet cleaners will drag the sand and cause massive deep scratches to your acrylic surface.

Bro, you sound like a patient and well researched reefer, I think this tank is worth looking forward to. Will be watching this thread... but you watch your back, don't let your wife throw you out haha
-
Using Mozilla on PC too, the "new topic" is above the thread, not after. Edit: Eh funny, the "new topic" appeared at the bottom too after posting this haha.

Hahahaha don't say I dirty mind ah, I don't want to tease you about what those 3 reefers outside did with your RBTA
-
Very cool RBTA! Mine never really recovered fully after bleaching, so jealous of the deep red of your bta. Very cute boxfish too
-
Thanks lemon and terry for ur advise, I bought 3 green chromis to give them safety in numbers, they are traveling as a pack of 5 now, less trouble from the flamehawk.
-
REALLY?!!!!! He just whacked the other one yesterday, both bites seems quite deep. %&^$%#$%^#

Non-Marine FS : PIT Grandstand Tix(Fri & Sat)

Very good seats indeed, can see the Singtel girls up close! Haha. My view from last year (club suite). Up for your sale, Thomas -
Okay, after close to a week, I observed that the urchin likes to feed on my red coraline and purple coraline algae that is bleaching or dying. It cleaned up my coraline encrusted betta box in one day! Haha, more effective than vinegar. As for hair algae, no reduction. Faster to just pluck the algae with tweezers. It will eat or pull out the hitch hiker red bamboo that is growing everywhere, but only if I place it directly on top of them. Yah I have a pair, about 2 inch and 2.5 inch respectively. I used to buy smaller specimens but they didn't survive long, too sensitive and fragile. The algae blenny is still doing nothing in my office tank lor, not as hardworking as the one I had before this. Thanks, and I'm glad you like the bubble. Don't frag la, the shape so nice Never too late to start one more nano in your room They didn't die, but their pectoral fins got chewed away by my flame hawk when he whacked them. Very territorial...

Thanks Onizuka for organising and securing the good deal for us. And I hope everyone involved will honour their commitment to buy the sand, let's not take advantage of the kindness of someone who took the initiative to seek out and organise the deal. I will be buying one full packet, but only need half, about 5kg. If anybody wants to share the other half with me, drop me a PM. Derrickyeo, for example of tanks with black sand, check out Raydiactive and vt_snowman87's threads, those are 2 ppl using black sand that comes to mind. You can see my tank thread too (in my signature).

I see that you have been stepping up on your acquisition of fish in recent weeks huh? Hahaha. Nice fish! btw, the crab is kept in the sump now? good idea to have them there, can clear the debri.
-
The blenny has been given a reprieve. I reassigned it to the office tank instead haha. Damn chao keng, the fish keeps munching on one same spot everyday but the algae didn't reduce at all. Act busy
-
Thanks bro More pics would come when I update the tank a bit. Not very happy with the stability of the rocks, and not enough corals!!! hahaha
-
I'm leaning towards Nature's Ocean. Natures Ocean has a mix of white/black sand too, so far only the Iwarna volcanic sand is completely black out of the bag. The problem with it is that it has a lot of magnetic materials in it, gets stuck in the pump, magnet holder etc, damn irritating.
-
Thanks, for the compliments As for the sand, it's okay la, I think I will buy one full packet too, if there's any leftover I'll ask around if anyone wants to share.
-
FTS! I've cleared the top level of the rocks for future LPS and SPS. Thanks to kikobanana for buying my pink bubble, which has gotten too large.
-
Really leh, it's a path to self doubt (of the beauty of your tank) and destruction (of the wallet) hahaha. Haha, I guess it's true. You either like it or you don't. I like the colours and personalities of this fish la. Actually I like those common blue/yellow damsels too, but they are such a terror.

Under royal blue LED: (just realised from the previous post that uploading to the forum gallery will resize the source file by 50%)

Finally lost my GO virginity last night. I have always practiced self control when visiting GO because buying their technicolor gems is a path you can never return from. Suddenly, all the corals in my tank that were average looking before will look like crap in comparison. I practiced self restraint in regards to the budget and size of the corals, but I have been poisoned

anyone know how to repair chiller fan?
albinosage replied to legendz1987's topic in General Reefkeeping_
Oh, I thought I replied you in the PM you sent me last night. If I didn't then my apologies, I was replying thru my cell phone, can't really see if I typed correctly. Since you called the repairman, then he should know how to repair the fan mah. My point is, repairing a chiller is not like taking a screw driver poke here poke there then "tadaa!". I doubt many of us here have the skills to weld a worn out fan or something like that. -

Marine Fish and Equipment to give up
albinosage replied to Ben75wong's topic in General Reefkeeping_
You can always donate them to a responsible fish shop or give/sell your fish and equipment away on this forum (look for the pasar malam section). DO NOT throw or flush them away, let's keep this hobby sustainable
