Finally got off my bum and did something about my tank. Not sure if I mentioned earlier in the thread, my tank crashed late last year due to a busy workload which kept me away from home for a period of time and I lost most of my corals. I have been doing massive weekly water changes over the past few months to "reboot" the tank before adding anymore livestock, and last weekend I couldn't take it anymore! Went to LCK to get these: Nak-ed clown. ZOMG! Fish p0rn! Neon goby. Cute little fellow. Clam, hope this one fares better than my first attempt.

Will you be planning to keep corals or just a FOWLR tank? The large cowry snail in your tank is not reef safe. Here's an old pic of mine showing a cowry snail terrorising an anemone:

If you ever decide to sell the 2 favia, give them some fancy name.. they might sell for a higher price haha. You can call them "spiderman" and "venom" favia and sell as a set Very nice colours, very nice updates to your tank. I'm sure it will be a talking point amongst visitors during CNY!

Congrats on your plan to switch to the Mac platform Seriously, you will find that mac OSX manages the memory a lot better than windows. I use a windows PC at work, and when I multitask with 2 or 3 applications running at the same time, it's like flirting with death haha. I don't just blog from the toilet okay, I updated my twitter status at the urinal once! Haha, one of the more family friendly activities I do on the phone is sketching with the touch screen while in transit:

Wow! And where did you find that? Now you have 2 of your rare and sought after colours, I think you should keep both of them. Lucky stars shining upon you, quick buy toto! (under 18 cannot collect winnings, donch worry, I help you collect, it's not a trap.... muahahahaha )

Apple user since the 90s, so my suggestion is a bit biased. I don't want to sound like a hipster fanboy, but once you go Mac, you can't go back. The iPhone is really a remarkable phone, very intuitive user interface. Once you have it in your hands and find yourself blogging from the toilet, you will realise that the future has really arrived. As for the iPhone being very common, more power to Apple lah. If I have a time machine I would tell my 1990s parents: Buy Apple, Google stocks.

Bro, I'm a bit late to reply but hope you see it. They are quite easy to tell apart, the male is usually larger and has more green on its face, as opposed to the female with pinkish/red face. Also, the male mandarin has that distinctive dorsal fin like an alien antenna on the head!

Hi bro, I was joking in response to a comment in a thread on a public forum. I apologise if you feel that I have overstepped your personal boundaries as a result of my reply to someone else in the thread. I'm sure the interwebs is big enough for all of us.

Lemon, I got bad news for you... I'm sure many people in their 20s are sick of hearing this:

Painted Aluminium material submerged in Reef
albinosage replied to tench1's topic in General Reefkeeping_
Aluminum doesn't rust; only steel and iron. Regarding the paint, it depends on what kind of paint it is... but then again most paint pigment are to a certain extent, toxic. Submerging metal in water for the long term will definitely contaminate the water one way or another. Water is a very powerful solvent -
Hi brandonm, great thread and nice pico reefs you have there. I must admit though, I was enjoying your video till the appearance of the bobbit worm made me gag a little

Mitlancer's "Miracle" Atlantis Walll Mount
albinosage replied to mitlancer's topic in Members Tank & Specs
Hey buddy, been a while since I saw your tank thread. It is looking great! Your mystery resident brings back fond memories of my blotchy anthias before I sold him -
I think it will cost approximately $icannotafford. Seriously, nice coral.. Should be worth much more than what you paid.

They disintegrate when they die. One by one, their limbs crumble until the whole thing disappear, it looks like it is melting. Acclimatise them properly and maintain good water parameters.

Hi all, my office tank is going to be decommissioned cos we are relocating: everything is up for sale. I don't know how to price them cos quite frankly, the set up is nothing fancy and the livestock are of the common variety. Offers to take the whole set up, and those who can collect earlier will be given priority. A rough list of the items (with flaws and defects mentioned): 4x2x2ft tank made by CR Aquarium 1.5 years ago - with full bracing, internal overflow, all sealed with black silicon (has a minor 1" chip on the top which was siliconed back) Sump with 1.5ft PL light and all filter media included Wooden cabinet (right door is broken at the hinge) Hopar 4xT5HO light fixture Live rocks and live sand Livestock: Blue tang - about 3" Brown Tang (Zebrasoma scopas) - about 3" 4/5 x Green chromis - 1" to 3" 4/5 x Ocellaris clown fish - 1" Engineer goby - 6" Boxer shrimp Yellow wrasse - 2.5 to 3" Yellow tail coris - Juvenile That's all I can recall from memory All offers will be considered, and collection can be anytime before or after CNY, preferably within this month. Make your own transport arrangements. To arrange for viewing (during office hours), drop me a PM. I repeat, all offers will be considered for the whole set up.

Haha, bro I hope your username is not your real name! Most of the time, we Google snoop candidates before interviewing them at my workplace. But then, your last line above is quite funny, I would recommend you based on good humour alone hahaha -

Bro, not doubting your lens book, but I would take any claims from the marketing department with a pinch of salt. A salesman once told me that he heard that XXX brand of socks are so good that there was this triathelete who came back from his swimming segment to find his shoes stolen, so he ran the rest of his marathon wearing just XXX socks. End of the race: no blisters at all! I asked the salesman where he heard this story from... "Erm... XXX marketing people lor!" -
Post your favorite music videos here!

Believe it or not, I heard someone ask if "this band" copied the bass line from Vanilla Ice. "This band" happens to be Queen, featuring David Bowie. I am now officially an "uncle". Fav video of all time, hands down -
Ya lesson learnt hahaha. Was too busy to monitor the corals, by the time I realised it was too late. The tank is considered quite shallow so I didn't use lens for my own fixture.

Yah man the clown loves the rbta. It is past the "cute baby" stage already, now it's acting as a tyrant, I guess a bit too late to introduce a second clown to pair up haha.

WTS-3 coralife buckets of liverocks
albinosage replied to Akatsuki's topic in Sell off/Pasar Malam Shop
Up for your sale, and for your novel trade bro. If nobody wants, I always have an extra pack around to trade you for small pieces of LR -
Bro that's the cooling capacity you quoted. The figure you got is by literally dividing 1hp (750W) by 15. The electricity consumed is 300W for Arctica 1/15 chiller.

New FTS -- Bright and white! Top down shot: The upgrade came at a price though... In the absence of my LED set, I used a loan set and forgot to remove the LED lens, the pink monti bleached and my acan died from light shock by the time I realised On the bright side, I now have a very bright and even colour temperature
-
Just got a small upgrade for my LED set Changed the strip of 3 white LEDs on the right hand side to a mixed strip of white/blues for better balance as the previous configuration was a bit yellowish on the right corner. Old configuration: Old FTS (see top right corner):
